The Paul Henry Institute Symposium on Religion and Public Life Overnight Accommodations Reservation Form April 30 – May 2, 2015 The 2015 Symposium on Religion and Public Life, sponsored by the Paul Henry Institute for the Study of Christianity and Politics, will be held at the Prince Conference Center on the Calvin College Campus. The Center, which provides seminar facilities as well as overnight accommodations, is conveniently located near highway routes, as well as the Grand Rapids Ford International Airport. The Symposium will begin on April 30th. Depending on the volume of proposals received, afternoon sessions will likely be scheduled on Thursday. The annual Paul Henry Lecture, followed by a reception, will be Thursday evening. The schedule for Friday, May 1, will include sessions throughout the day, as well as lunch and dinner with the Center for Public Justice annual Kuyper Lecture on Friday evening, followed by a reception. Panels resume on Saturday morning, with lunch served at the close of the Symposium. A more detailed schedule will be provided when it is available. The Symposium registration fee of $85 includes all meals and coffee breaks throughout the event, including the evening receptions (graduate student registration is $40). Please make room reservations directly with Ellen Hekman of the Henry Institute using this form, rather than contacting the Prince Conference Center directly. You need not send a housing deposit, but full payment for the room and any incidental charges will be due when you check-out, to be paid to the Prince Conference Center at the front desk by cash, check or credit card. All overnight rooms include either two queens or a king-size bed, as well as daily complimentary deluxe continental breakfast, an on-site fitness center, cable television and free local phone calls. Please note that the entire Conference Center, including meeting space and overnight rooms, is a nonsmoking site. Room costs are $85 per night, plus 6% sales tax and 9% occupancy tax; two King Suites are available at a cost of $116 plus tax. There are a limited number of rooms at the Prince Center, so please make your reservations early. The deadline for holding the Symposium block of rooms is March 29, 2015; after this time, on-site rooms may not be available. Should all the rooms at the Prince Center already be booked when we receive your reservation form, we will notify you of other available hotel space in the area. Preferences for sharing an overnight room may be included on this form, and we will attempt to accommodate your request by assigning you with another Symposium participant. If you are making your own arrangements to share a room with another individual who is attending the Symposium, please include that person’s name on this form for our records and for hotel reservation purposes.
