NEW POLICY!! The small motorized vehicles, aka, ATVs, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, etc, have become an item of great concern to the neighbors of Hill ‘N Dale. The March meeting of the Board of Directors was almost completely embroiled with complaints and concerns about how to quickly, fairly, and safely resolve this problem. Your Board does not want to be put into a policing or enforcement position - - - so we have decided on a Policy which we feel will resolve the matter - - - but - - just like any neighborhood matter, everyone must cooperate. It is unlawful for these small vehicles to operate on our streets and certainly by minors, so we don’t feel it is unreasonable to first ask that our streets only be used to slowly and quietly move to the designated “track area” in full daylight only. The Track Area is designated as that land being on the southwest corner of Hill N Dale, west of Highland Park Drive and south of Oak View. All kinds of great roads, paths, etc. can be safely worked out in there. Other track areas may be used with property owner’s permission. Hill ‘N Dale streets are not to be used as part of any track area. These little vehicles will not be permitted to go onto unauthorized privately owned lots or any of our Park and Pond Areas. These areas are for pedestrian activity and use only. This problem and our concern have been discussed with your County Commissioner and he is fully aware of the matter and our new policy to resolve it. With the Commissioner’s help, this matter is now being brought to the attention of the Pawnee County Sheriff and District Attorney. We request your consideration and cooperation.
