Good Friday MUSIC PROGRAM The Stations of the Cross precede the Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion. The Liturgy begins with lessons from the Old Testament that tell of the ancient mercy of God and the first Passover, and psalms that foretell the Crucifixion and Death of our Lord. The texts for these readings and tracts can be found in the missal, or the Sacred Triduum booklets available in the vestibule of the church. THE PASSION OF ST. There follow the Solemn Prayers for the needs of the Church and of all the world, beseeching God to pour out His mercy on all the human race.
