Pages 1-11 - Larchmont Homes - Larchmont Historical Society

President’s Welcome
Welcome to “The Sea Breeze House Tour” – the Larchmont Historical Society’s
Spring House Tour 2015. As a waterfront community, Larchmont’s character has
been shaped by her proximity to the Long Island Sound. Each of the five magnificent private homes on the tour and the Larchmont Yacht Club have connections to
the waterfront. Please enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the Larchmont shore
and some very special homes.
The House Tour couldn’t happen without the generosity of the homeowners for
graciously agreeing to open their homes to you. The Society and the entire Larchmont community are enormously grateful to you all – we can’t thank you enough.
In particular I want to thank the Trustees and membership of the Larchmont Yacht
Club for sharing some of your extraordinary heritage with us.
I also want to thank the outstanding committee who made this all happen: starting
with Co-chairs Liz Boucher and Alice Horowitz. Liz and Alice did an amazing job
organizing and leading a terrific committee including Journal Editor Lynne Hillman, Docent Chairs Kim Giarraputo, Laura Maloney and Tom Burns, graphic
artist extraordinaire Amanda Schlumberger, Publicity Chair Lynda Lamonte, Sponsorship Chair Tori Pough, Sea Breeze Reception Chair Laura Hoffman and Susan
Emery, Pam Joyce, Kathy Meyers, Suzanne Moncure, Adrienne Skinner and Dee
van Eyck. Every one of you worked hard to make this the successful tour we are all
enjoying today – thank you.
Last, but not least, thank you to the sponsors whose support ensures the success of
the tour. Please be sure to patronize all of our sponsors and thank them in person.
I know you will enjoy the tour. I look forward to seeing all of you for a “Sea Breeze”
on the Quarterdeck at the Larchmont Yacht Club. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Nancy White
