All applicable Federal and Provincial sport fishing regulations must be followed. Boaters must carry a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance.
All Tournament Director rulings are final. Trickle start blast off at 7:00am, weigh in at 3:00pm. Adult guardians or parents must accompany anglers under 18 years of age. In signing this application, I hereby hold harmless all tournament officials and organizers from bodily injury or any
damages incurred in connection with this event and have read and agree to adhere to the Quinte Walleye Open Tournament Rules.

Teams may consist of up to three (3) anglers in one boat. Adult guardians or parents must accompany anglers under 18 years of age.
Your limit of fish will consist of three (3) walleye. All fish must be a minimum of 14 inches in length. (From
lower jaw to tip of tail, pinched together). If a fish is deemed to be short, the fish will not be weighed and a
penalty of 8 ounces will be deducted from the weight.
It is recommended that teams review Ministry of Natural Resources regulations as they pertain to Bay of Quinte
walleye.
Entry fees will not be refunded unless the event is cancelled.
All boats must be a minimum of 14 ft. in length and be equipped with a WORKING KILL SWITCH that must be
attached to the driver’s body while the combustion engine is running (unless at trolling speed). A working
livewell is also mandatory. Maximum horsepower for all outboards and inboards must not exceed the horsepower limitations set by the manufacture’s rating plate. Changing or altering standard factory parts of your
motor to increase the horsepower over the factory horsepower rating is forbidden.
Proof of valid insurance of a minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability coverage must be carried in the boat at all
times and may be requested by the Tournament Director or designee at any time.
All tournament participants must have a Canadian Coast Guard approved life jacket, and it must be worn
when the main combustion engine is propelling the boat at anything other than trolling speed.
All boating laws will be adhered to; failure to do so will result in expulsion from the tournament.
All Ministry of Natural Resources laws shall be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in expulsion from the
tournament.
Absolutely no alcohol or drugs will be consumed or in possession of any competitor during the tournament.
The culling of dead walleye is prohibited. For each legal dead walleye presented at the weigh-in, the competitor shall be penalized one pound (16 oz) for each dead fish to be deducted from their score. The Tournament
Director or designees shall have sole authority for assessing penalty points. Fish must be alive to be eligible
for the Big Fish award.
All blast-offs will be a trickle start.
In the event that weather will hamper a safe blast off, a one hour wait period will be imposed. If at this time it is
still not deemed to be safe by the Tournament Director, the Tournament Director may so decide, at the tournament Director’s discretion, to either continue waiting or re-schedule the event to a later date.
Fishing is prohibited within 100 ft. of another competitor’s boat, which was first anchored, the trolling motor
must be out of the water. No fishing is allowed within 100 yards of Ministry of Natural Resources nets or marina gas pumps.
All decisions made by the Tournament Director or designee will be final. Anyone wishing to lodge protest will
have 15 minutes from the time the final fish is weighed in. There is no fee for lodging a protest. Please let
common sense prevail.
Tournament hours will be 7:00am to 3:00pm. All competitors must be checked in 15 minutes prior to blast-off,
if changes are to be made due to weather, it will be done by the Tournament Director or designee. Any teams
not in the water by 7:00am may be held until after blast off.
If you are late for weigh-in, there will be a penalty imposed of one half pound (8 oz.) for each minute late. If
you are more than 15 minutes late, your catch will be forfeit.
If there is a tie for a placement position, then the monies for that placement and the next placement below
shall be added together and divided evenly between the two teams.
There is to be no more than a maximum of 3 fish per team in the live-well while the main combustion engine is
propelling the boat at anything other than trolling speed.
Only the fish species being fished for shall be retained.
Boat inspections will be carried out at the beginning of every tournament, prior to blast-off. The tournament
Director or designee reserves the right to inspect all competitor’s boats at any time during official tournament
hours.
No locking allowed.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification or removal from the tournament.
Culling Equipment that punctures the body or mouth of fish such as stringer style culling clips, balance
beams, and related equipment, etc. may not be used.
Live bait and trolling are allowed.
