home (and the comforts of home) to experience something
totally different.

7. Price includes lodging, food, activities, bus transportation,
t-shirt, and supplies. Group size will be limited, so sign up as
soon as possible.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TO CAMP?
A list of things to bring (and not to bring) can be found
at hpf.org/youth. Just click on events and CAMP
SPRINGS
WHY DO WE CHECK IN LUGGAGE THE NIGHT BEFORE?
One, it’s much easier to get everything and everyone
together on Sunday afternoon if we already have all the
luggage in one place and ready to load. Two, we want
to ensure each camper has what they need for
camp…and that they are not bringing items that are not
allowed.
CAN MY CHILD BRING FOOD OF HIS OWN?
No. There will be plenty of food and snacks at camp.
Your child will have plenty to eat. And food in the
cabins just invites many bugs.
WHY CAN’T MY STUDENT TAKE A CELL PHONE?
Part of the camp experience is getting away from the
everyday…including cell phones. Also, the cell coverage
at camp is extremely bad. When your child leaves for
camp, you will be given a list of cell phone numbers for
our leaders as well as the main number of the camp. If
there is an emergency or a concern, just call.
For more info, contact TW at 336.403.5406 or [email protected].
WHAT ACTIVITIES WILL THERE BE AT CAMP?
Swimming, blobbing, archery, .22 rifles, ropes course,
gaga ball, volleyball, and plenty more. Camp is fun!
WHAT SPIRITUAL GROWTH ACTIVITIES WILL BE GOING
ON?
Campfires, worship times, small groups, student-led
talks, quiet times, baptisms, and more.
WHAT IF MY CHILD WANTS TO BE BAPTIZED AT CAMP?
Baptisms are not uncommon at camp. It is a special
place for a student to dedicate their life to Jesus. If your
son or daughter wishes to be baptized, we will make
every effort to contact you so you have the option to
drive to camp to witness the event. However, if contact
cannot be made, it is our policy to honor the request of
the student and continue with the baptism (taking
many pictures or videoing the event). If you have any
questions or concerns with this policy, please contact
TW at 336.403.5406 to talk more.
WHO ARE THE MAIN CAMP LEADERS?
TW Davis is the Youth Pastor at HighPoint…he will be at
camp and overseeing everything. Mike Horton is the
Community Pastor at HighPoint…he will be running
activities and leading group times. Forest Glen also has
a group of college-age leaders onsite to lead/supervise
all activities.
ARE THERE SAFETY ISSUES?
As with any activity-driven summer camp, there is
always the possibility of injury. We are prepared on-site
with a designated nurse that will handle any basic firstaid requirements. We also have the ability to travel to
the local ER, if needed.

Commented [T 1]:
Dear Parent/Guardian,
It’s an honor for us to lead your son or daughter
to Camp Springs. Thank you for parenting them in
such a way that they value this kind of
opportunity…and thank you for allowing them to
join this journey. We are looking forward to leading
them through a week of growing together, growing
toward God, and just having a lot of fun.
You can access the most up to date forms,
deadlines, and travel logistics by visiting our
website—hfp.org/youth—and clicking on events
and then the CAMP SPRINGS link.
Thank you for trusting us with your child. Pray
that God does incredible things through them. We
believe He will.
Blessings, TW Davis - Youth Pastor
