Hawker Pacific is an integrated aviation solutions
provider operating in Asia, Asia Pacific and Middle East,
with over 30 years of experience in the industry. The
company specialises in aviation sales, maintenance
repair and overhaul, aviation supplies, aircraft
management, special mission systems and equipment,
aircraft charter and fixed base operations.
Hawker Pacific is an organisation with many workplaces
of small to medium employee populations spread
across an extensive geographic footprint.
Hawker Pacific was founded in 1978 and it employs
approximately 700 people in 20 different geographic
locations, operating in 10 countries.
Hawker Pacific has acquired a prestigious client base
comprising defence forces, emergency services, airline
operators and major corporates.
Multiple national employment, tax and pension
legislative regimes add complexity to the management
of employees, employee information and payroll
process. To effectively manage this, Hawker Pacific
required a fully integrated Human Resource Information
and Payroll System which would allow for the
standardisation of processes and reporting regimes in a
consistent, cost-efficient and timely manner.
The company was not fully utilising its enterprise-wide
business information system as it did not adequately
cater to the needs associated with managing its people.
Employee information was collected and stored on
decentralised payroll systems and other associated
applications. Other processes such as manually
processing leave applications and manually and
entering information into various disconnected
applications can be done through this system.
The fragmented capture and retention of employee
information inhibited the effective utilisation of human
resources metrics.

Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
The introduction of the system to line management and
other employees was handled by the HR team through

web. Employees could access the system using any
internet enabled device just as they access any other
website online. The look and feel of the system will be
the same regardless of the location it is accessed from

ease as an employee in Sydney.
Implementation of the HRIS
The implementation is an ongoing process at Hawker

for any complicated source code amendments due to
