DPsych (with specialisation in child and adolescence) The attainment of a DPsych (with specialisation in child and adolescence) in Child Psychology will enable you to act as a specialist in this field. The programme has been developed to prepare you academically, professionally and personally for this field. The next intake is 2016. We are in the process of uploading the general information, instruction letter, application forms and referee reports. Applications will have to be submitted on-line. Below are the important dates with regards to the 2016 intake. Dates Closing date for applications Announcement of candidates invited to panel interviews (email) Panel interviews Announcement of candidates for 2016 intake (email) 31 July 2015 at 12:00 noon 28 August 2015 29 and 30 October 2015 3 November 2015 In the meantime, while we are in the process of uploading and finalising the online applications, it will be helpful if you take note that a complete application will include the following documents: A copy of your identification document A completed application form Certified copies of academic records and degree certificates A certified copy of your professional registration certificate at the Health Professions Council (HPCSA) for the period 2015-2016 Referee reports: By the closing date, we must have received three completed referee forms. The reports must comply with the following: o The reports must be sent directly to us by the referees, to the same address as the application. It is your responsibility to ensure that the referee reports are sent to the department timeously. o One of the referees must be your master’s degree supervisor. If your supervisor is not available, state why. In this case the form must be completed by the head of the relevant academic department. o The other two forms should be submitted to persons with authority (not family or friends), who would be able to render an objective opinion.
