SUMMER ART CAMP FOR KIDS
ART SHOW
An Art Show will be held on the last Friday of every session
throughout the summer. Details to be announced once
camp begins.
REFUNDS
A full refund will be given if cancellations are made before
June 1. A refund on tuition will be given up to two weeks
prior to the beginning of each session. Refunds will not
be given on material fees after June 1. No refunds will be
issued for cancellations with less than two week notice.
Should Handprints cancel a session, a full refund will be
issued. A $25 administration fee will be charged for each
cancellation, excluding any cancellation made by Handprints.

Handprints Art camp qualifies for
the Children’s Arts Tax Credit (CATC).
H
andprints is a unique art camp designed to
teach, enrich, amuse, inspire and foster the
artistic growth and creativity of 3 to 10 year
olds. Handprints’ programmes give your child a chance to
learn and explore his or her artistic interests and abilities in
much more depth than is permitted in most regular school
programmes. Children will paint, draw, build and sculpt
with a wide variety of materials under the encouragement,
guidance and supervision of an enthusiastic, highly qualified
and experienced teaching team. All projects created during
each session are designed to be age-appropriate and relate
to fun and interesting themes.
We have designed Handprints Summer Art Camp to help
you give your child’s summer a bit of structure (fun structure,
of course!), while building in the flexibility to accommodate
busy families’ summer vacations. Take advantage of our
family discount (enroll 2 siblings and save $10). See

We have designed our curriculum so that each 1 week
session is a complete, stand-alone programme for each age
group. Each session is long enough to initiate, develop and
see a creative project to its completion, so your child will
have a sense of accomplishment. We provide a supportive
and nurturing environment to bring out the creative best
in your child.
Handprints founder and supervisor, Lovenia Gorman, has
been teaching with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB)
for the past twenty-one years. She has developed and
taught numerous children’s art classes and has worked
with special needs children. Lovenia is a mother of two
and author of a children’s alphabet book.
Lovenia or her assistant is on sight at all times during
camp hours.
All staff members are highly qualified, creative and
responsible individuals who have extensive experience
with children and creative arts in the Etobicoke and Greater
Toronto areas.

MONDAY- FRIDAY, 9:00 AM- 12 NOON OR 12:30 PM TO 3 PM (3-5 YEAR OLDS) OR 9 AM TO 3 PM (FULL DAY, all AGE GROUPS)
3-5 year olds
Maximum of 16 participants; 4:1 children to adult ratio – 1 instructor, 3 assistants
AM 9-12 NOON ($170) PM 12:30-3 PM ($160) FULL DAY: 9-3 PM ($250)

Session 1: July 20-24: Pan-o-mania at the Pan Am Games
Journey through a week of fun as you discover the athletes and sports of the Pan Am Games. Create two-dimensional
and three dimensional works of art which reflect the Pan Am Games’ sporting events. Music, drama and games will be
linked to this week’s theme. Outdoor play opportunities will occur daily, weather permitting. All activities are designed
to be age- appropriate for each age group of campers.
Session 2: July 27-31: Meet Me at the Beach
Come and explore the beach as you create a selection of 2-D and 3-D projects under the expert guidance of our
instructors and assistants. Design art work related to beach fun and activities using a variety of materials. Music,
drama and cooperative games will be linked to this week’s theme. Outdoor play opportunities will occur daily,
weather permitting. All activities are designed to be age-appropriate for each group of campers.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN NUT-FREE SNACKS (ALL SESSIONS) AND NUT-FREE LUNCH (FULL DAY ONLY).
SUN HATS AND SUNSCREEN WILL BE NEEDED AS SOME TIME IS SPENT OUTDOORS. RETURNING THIS

The Handprints Creative Team is certified in
Emergency First Aid.
