Donated by Fred Rich At HVSF, we believe passionately in the simple but powerful idea that Shakespeare belongs to everyone. More than 35,000 people of all ages will gather under HVSF’s magical theater tent this summer to experience that iconic HVSF experience full of enthusiasm, curiosity, imagination and playfulness. But our impact extends far beyond our theater tent; it radiates throughout the tri-state area. In 2015, HVSF will serve 45,000 students in 50 middle and high schools. Our school tour of Macbeth traveled to 30 campuses this spring, our Conservatory Company production of The Tempest will travel across the Hudson Valley at the end of summer, and our teaching artists are changing lives in classrooms throughout the region all year long. Your bid tonight is essential to the continued success of HVSF’s year-round education programs: • Support for young artists in our Conservatory Company and Internship Program: Join us in championing the next generation of American theatre practitioners through on-the-job experiences that bridge the gap from college training to professional work. • Commitment to arts education: Your gift sustains HVSF’s innovative, hands-on educational programming and performances at schools and colleges throughout the Hudson Valley, including underserved schools in disadvantaged neighborhoods. We know that live theater can transform lives – we have seen it in the rehearsal room, in the classroom, and under that glorious HVSF tent. Our dedicated artists, staff and educators work year-round to make these magical transformations happen, but we cannot do this on our own.
