As an “External Provider” of Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) credit,
the 2015 IACP European Conference is
approved for 1.0 hours of CPD credit
for Solicitors and Registered European
Lawyers (Reference No: DCD/ESLC). The
level of this program has been classified as intermediate/update. Under New
York’s approved jurisdiction policy, the
New York Bar Association has adopted
procedures to extend comity to jurisdictions whose standards meet its own
standards. As an external provider of
CPD through the Soliciters Regulation
Authority (SRA), New York attorneys may
take NY Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
credit as a result of their attendance at
the 2015 IACP European Conference for
those sessions which are legal in nature
and are at least 60 minutes in length.
In order to claim credit for a program
accredited by a New York jurisdiction, the
attorney must retain for a period of four
years: (1) documentation of the course or
program accredited by the CLE agency of
a New York approved jurisdiction, and (2)
a certificate of attendance indicating the
attorney’s name, title, date and location
of the course, the amount of credits, and
categories of credit. Credit is calculated
on a 50-minute credit hour in increments
of no less than 25 minutes (.5). This
course would be approved for 1.0 NY
CLE credit hours in which 1.0 credit hours
can be applied towards Skills, Practice
Management, and/or Professional Practice.
This course qualifies for both established
and newly admitted attorneys.
