The Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) was founded on February 4, 1899. It is a 501(c)3 charitable, international
amateur golf association dedicated to preserving the true spirit of the game of golf and promoting activities beneficial to
golfers in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.
The Washington State Golf Association (WSGA) was formed in 1922 to conduct the Men’s State Amateur Golf
Championship. The WSGA has evolved into one of the largest amateur golf association in the United States providing a
multitude of benefits and services to more than 67,000 individual members at over 650 member golf clubs throughout
the state of Washington and Northern Idaho.
The PNGA and WSGA are both governed by a separate volunteer Board of Directors comprised of men and women from
private and public golf clubs, representing every geographic region of each association. The PNGA and WSGA employs
and shares a full-time staff of 14, headed by a CEO/Executive Director, with offices located in Federal Way, Washington.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors and in conjunction with a number of standing committees, the staff
administers the day-to-day affairs of the Associations. The PNGA and WSGA also cooperatively own and operate a golf
course, The Home Course, in DuPont, Washington.

Immediate Supervisors – PNGA and WSGA Senior Director of Handicapping and Course Rating
and Manager of IT and GHIN Services

OVERVIEW:
Provides direct support and assistance to the Handicapping and Course Rating Department. This
includes direct support and assistance with Handicapping, Course Rating, and all GHIN services.
This includes assistance on the compliance of the USGA Handicap System, administration and
support of all GHIN Services, assistance with the support for all WSGA provided hardware and
software to member clubs. Additionally, assists with the administration, organization, and
maintenance of the WSGA’s Customer Service Relationship Management (CRM) system.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. First contact person for telephone calls and email inquiries particularly relating to the Handicapping and Course
Rating Department. Duties particularly include answering handicap and GHIN questions and inquiries.
2. Administers WSGA member club compliance and maintains licensing records of all member clubs.
3. Under the direction of the Manager of IT and GHIN Services assists with all facets of GHIN products, a USGA
service, in providing state-of-the-art handicap computation and support for all other services (eClubhouse, TPP,
eGolfer, etc.) to member clubs and individual members throughout the WSGA region. Duties include assisting
with resolving all GHIN Services related questions and/or problems.

4. Provide basic computer troubleshooting to our WSGA member clubs who have a handicap computer.
5. Is responsible for the inventory and ordering of all WSGA handicap supplies and materials (i.e., membership
cards, USGA Handicap System Manuals, etc.).
6. Assists with the administration, organization, and maintenance of the WSGA’s Customer Service Relationship
Management (CRM) system.
7. Assists with administrative duties around the office which may include: copying, putting packets together,
running errands, placing orders, data entry, and inventorying.
8. Performs any and all other duties as assigned by the CEO/Executive Director and/or Senior Director of
Handicapping and Course and Manager of IT and GHIN Services.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL SET REQUIRED:
1. College degree preferred.
2. Proficient with Microsoft products including the Windows Operating Systems and Office Suite (Word, Excel,
Access, Outlook, etc.). Exposure to Microsoft CRM and Adobe products also beneficial.
3. Basic knowledge of the USGA Handicap System.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional
image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
5. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization
levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
7. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and
problem-solving skills.
8. Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
9. Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.

16. Basic golf knowledge.
COMPENSATION: Salary: $33,000 – $35,000; commensurate with experience. The PNGA/WSGA offers a complete
benefits package including company-paid life insurance, medical and dental plans, disability insurance, SEP/IRA plan, and
paid vacation.
