Circuits for Motivation and Happiness

Recently models of reinforcement learning and decision making have received a lot of
attention. But the concept of reward in such models is rather simplified. In this talk, we will
describe the neural circuits underlying motivation and their relationships with circuits
related to emotions and propose a modeling framework to unite such circuits with models
of reinforcement learning.
