Course Description
The IBUS Course: Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-guided Interventions brings together an
international and local faculty of breast disease experts. Presentations will highlight recent
developments of clinical value, and define the current role of breast imaging modalities. Programme
topics include new technologies, ultrasound, mammography and MR imaging, benign and malignant
disease detection and diagnosis, and ultrasound-guided interventional techniques.
The lectures programme will be complemented by case presentations and panel discussions
involving the expertise of the international and local faculty members with audience participation. A
series of “hands-on” workshops will enable participants to gain valuable experience in the practical
aspects of breast ultrasound imaging and the use of interventional techniques under the supervision
of faculty members. This course provides a unique opportunity for all participants to benefit from the
expert faculty gathered in Istanbul for this important (CME) activity.

How to reach Acıbadem Maslak Hospital:
From Istanbul International Ataturk Airport
By metro: There is a direct line (M1A; the metro station is under the Arrival Hall; B1 level) to “Yenikapı” (last stop; travel time approx. 50 mins)
where you may change to M2 Line and drop off at “Darüşşafaka” stop (travel time approx. 25 mins). There is a passage to Acibadem Maslak
Hospital without leaving the metro station. Please follow the signs to “Acibadem Hastanesi” after you pass the turnstiles in the metro station.
By bus: There is an airport shuttle bus (HAVATAŞ; bus departs from the stop just across the Arrival Hall; travel time approx. 30 mins) travelling to “Taksim” where you may take metro (Line M2) and drop off at “Darüşşafaka” stop (travel time approx. 18 mins).
By taxi: There are yellow taxis parking at the Arrival Hall exit. Travel time is approx 30-120 mins (depending on the time of the day). Expected
fare to Acibadem Maslak Hospital is 70 TL.
From Istanbul International Sabiha Gokcen Airport
By bus: There is an airport shuttle bus (HAVATAŞ; bus departs from the stop just across the Arrival Hall; travel time approx. 60-90 mins
depends on the time of the day) travelling to “Taksim” where you may take metro (Line M2) and drop off at “Darüşşafaka” stop (travel time
approx. 18 mins).
