The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered
Accountants Act, 1949 for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. During its
65 years of existence, ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body not only in the country

About ICAI Doha chapter
The Chapter in Doha was established in the year 1981 and is the oldest among the 25 overseas Chapters
of the ICAI. The membership of the Chapter has grown steadily since its founding days and presently the
Chapter has over 300 members who hold key positions in various private & public companies and are
actively involved in support and development of the finance profession in Qatar. The Chapter is actively
involved in enhancing and updating the professional knowledge of its members and to meet this objective,
periodically organizes professional lectures and seminars. The Chapter is affiliated to Indian Cultural Center
under the aegis of Indian Embassy in Qatar.
