The Lessons Learned from the 11th. International Conference:
1. Majority of the participants are the first visitors to Kathmandu, Nepal and although
many are the repeated visitors, all have agreed that spectacular views and splendid scenery,
add to its proximity to Kathmandu a richness of culture, authentic architecture, numerous
temples, all excellent of the traditional Newari craftsmanship of Dhulikhel. The participants
especially Thai have learned on cultural appreciation that simplicity of the lifestyle have
made people of Nepal the strong efforts on nation building and forward looking to strive for
socio-economic, environment and technological growth.
2. A good example of education at university level of the selected country for the
Conference, in particular, Kathmandu University established in 1991 which has accomplished
in running seven schools including School of Education, Engineering, Law, Management,
Medical Sciences, Sciences and Arts. These schools conduct undergraduate, graduate and
Ph.D. courses and different sorts of research programs annually. Over 40% graduates are in
technical subjects. Graduates of 2014 report on Medical Sciences was 49%. There are several
research activities undertaken on bilateral agreement with leading Norwegian Program in the
fields of Energy and Petroleum, Turbine Testing Lab, moreover, there are many ongoing
researches such as geomatics engineering, environment study, renewable energy and
emerging energy such as hydropower development.
3. As the Knowledge Networks are growing since from the start in the year 2006 until
the 11th. International Conference in 2015, it has manifested that quite a number of researches
in the fields of environment and biodiversity, renewable energy for development, computer
sciences, food security and a study in human factors had indicated the progressiveness of
advancement of science and technology among our universities’ networks both in Thailand
and the co-organizer countries.
4. It has been agreed that research has no boundary which was found that there were
many joint researches among universities in Thailand and the co-organizer country.
5. Minister of Education, Miss Chitralekha Yadav has reiterated in her keynote speech
that ‘if you want to contribute or intend to do something for the whole, you have to do with
quality and with best responsibility’. This is a lessons we have learned that as we all
gathered in presentation of our research works, it implied that we should learn from the
experience of each other and gathered information and knowledge from the Conference to
share and make good use in your respective countries and the workplaces. Also, Professor Dr.
Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University, has convinced us
that ‘we should bring our knowledge to our people, who are waiting to work with you, who
are waiting to make their dreams come true’.

Farewell Kathmandu, Nepal, on 3 April 2015, with joyful and ever lasting
memory of what we have touched, we have seen and we have worked
and presented the excellent research papers with our academic staff
and researchers of Kathmandu University and Tribhuvan University.
After 22 days, we were frightened to learn of the sadden news of the
earthquake incidence in Pokhra and Kathmandu, occurring on 25
April at 11.56 am (local time).
Now, there are no more in whatever we have touched, we have seen and we
have associated with in particular the beautiful world heritage sites,
temples, buildings with telling us a live story from thousand years.
Most of all the life of thousands of people who are sick and miserable,
who are waiting to console and help.
Please, we are looking to collect some heartedly contribution to the people
but will send to Kathmandu University for extending help on behalf
of Kathmandu University.
