Class 23 Floral table decoration – no more than 30cm high (in
memory of Margaret Jenner)
Class 24 Photograph entitled ’A colourful life’(brighter the better)
Entries will be accepted on Sunday 3rd from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and on Monday 4th
from 8.30 a.m - 10.00 a.m. It would be appreciated if you could make every
effort to bring your entries on Sunday - Ifield Barn Arts Centre is very busy on the
morning of the Fayre and it helps us to display your exhibits to their best
advantage.
Judging will commence sharp at 10.30 a.m on the morning of the Mayfayre,
therefore we will not be able to accept entries after 10.00 a.m.
Entrants are not permitted in the Exhibition Hall until 11.30am. Presentation of
the prizes will take place outside the main entrance of the Barn Theatre in the
afternoon.
Class 25 Painting – oil or water-colour – not exceeding A3 when
mounted
Class 26 Handicrafts - items that you have made and can be
displayed on a table
Class 27 Art – Any medium including drawing, collage and
embroidered work – not exceeding A3 when mounted
PRIZES kindly donated by the Ifield Village Association
 There will be rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class.
 The Family Cup will be awarded for the highest family score
over all classes.
COMPETITION RULES
1.
Class 4 Poem: From The Scarecrow Wedding
Betty O’Barley and Harry O’Hay were scarecrows (They scared lots
of crows everyday.) Harry loved Betty, and Betty loved Harry, so
Harry Said, “Betty, my beauty, let’s marry! (Julia Donaldson)

Class 24 - The photograph must be mounted on card. The winner will
receive the Ifield Village Association Photography Trophy.

Children must be the age of their class or under on Monday 4th May
2015.
5.
Class 11 – The scarecrow should be created by two or more members of
the same family, with at least one child contributing to the finished
scarecrow.
6.
Classes 5 and 7 must NOT be a kit.
7.
A Competition Entry Form must accompany all entries, these will be
available on the day.
8.
All entries must be your own work; the judges' decisions are final.
9.
Unnamed entries will not be accepted. Please fix your name firmly to
your exhibit where it cannot be seen by the judges.

10. All competition entries must be collected between 4 and 5 p.m. on
Monday 4th May from the Ifield Barn Arts Centre. After this time entries
may be disposed of at the discretion of the Mayfayre Committee.

12. Entry fees applicable, children’s entries are free, the family and adult
classes are £1 per entry.
