NLUD-IICA Joint LL.M. Programme for one year in Competition Law and
Market Regulation
The National Law University, Delhi is pleased to announce one year LL.M. programme in
Competition Law and Market Regulation in collaboration with Indian Institute of Corporate
Affairs (IICA) of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Applications are hereby invited for the
academic year 2015-16 commencing from August, 2015.
NLUD, established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in
the capital city of India. It offers courses at undergraduate, post graduate and doctorate level.
The primary mission of the University is to create lawyers who will be professionally
competent, technically sound and socially relevant, and will not only enter the Bar and the
Bench but also be equipped to address the imperatives of the new millennium and uphold the
Constitution of India.
Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), is a premier institution established by
Government of India. It is established to act as a Think-Tank to advise Government; take up
action research; and establish partnerships with other Universities, think tanks for sharing of
knowledge expertise and taking up joint programmes for capacity building. The School of
Competition Law & Market Regulation, IICA is committed to research and capacity building
in competition law and market regulation.
NLUD-IICA Joint LL.M Programme of one year in Competition Law & Market Regulation
is the first LL.M. Degree Programme in Competition Law in India. The Programme
endeavours to attract intellectually curious and thoughtful candidates. The objective of this
programme is to develop critical thinkers in competition law and market regulation. The
Course is designed to equip participants with a holistic approach to competition law and
market regulation. The pedagogy will be based on a mix of teaching and research methods
aimed at strengthening theoretical understanding and creative thinking in participants.
LL.M (One year) Eligibility:
LL.B. or an Equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with
Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2015 can also
apply.
Total Seats: 20 seats
Admission Procedure:


- The admission shall be through a written test i.e. AILET 2015 to be conducted by
the NLU Delhi, followed by an interview.
- Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can appear for the
Entrance Test subject to the condition that they produce proof of having passed the

qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage of marks at the time of
interview.
- The total number of seats are 25 with the following reservations:

: 15%
Scheduled Tribe
: 7.5 %
Persons with Disability : 2.5%


- Admission of foreign nationals: 5 seats are allotted to foreign national candidates
possessing the citizenship of a country other than India will only be considered under
this category. The foreign nationals are exempted from taking the admission test.
- Vacant seats under the foreign national category shall be filled from the general
category candidates in order of merit.
