Instruction Manual Acoustic Guitar Humidifier The guitar humidifier is designed to help protect your instrument from the damage that can be caused by dry conditions. The humidifier works by being suspended from the stings and releasing moisture slowly and evenly inside your guitar. Figure A 1. To use, simply add about a tablespoon (15 mL) of distilled water to the circular opening on the flat face of the humidifier labeled "IN." (Figure A) The internal sponge should be saturated but not dripping. If too much water is added, wait until the humidifier stops dripping before using. It can then be suspended in the strings as shown when the guitar is not in use. (Figure B) 2. A full humidifier should last for about one month between refills. However, this can vary depending upon your specific environment. 3. It is recommended to use distilled water rather than tap water to avoid mineral deposit buildup inside the humidifier. Figure B 4. Always avoid extreme temperatures with your guitar. It is best to keep it in an environment around 70° Fahrenheit (21° Centigrade).
