Extended Care Program
The Extended Care Program is an extra service Camp Immanuel
provides for parents who need a full day of care, but still want their
children to participate in a day camp. The morning program is
available by appointment only, but can be used from 7:30 am until
8:50 am and features board games, arts and crafts and Legos®. The
afternoon program is open from 3:15 pm until 6:00 pm and offers
group games, recess, arts and crafts as well as snack. The fees are
$8 for the first hour or any part of the first hour and $4 per subsequent
half hour. Parents must ring the bell at the center doors of the building
when picking up campers in the afternoon and will need to sign out
their campers.
Transportation
No camper will be permitted to leave camp with anyone other than his
or her parent unless camp administrators have been informed in
writing. Please be sure to fill out the Transportation Release portion of
the registration form.
What to Wear
Campers should wear weather-appropriate, casual summer clothing.
Recommended clothing for campers includes shorts, shirts (with nonoffensive logos) and sneakers. For safety reasons flip flops or open
toed sandals may not be worn (there are wood chips on the
playground.) Sunscreen is a must for all campers. Please include a
bottle of sunscreen in your camper’s lunch box labeled with his or her
name. We are not responsible for any lost personal items.
Camp Routines
In general, morning sessions will be more structured, and afternoon
sessions will be more relaxed. Fridays will be an extra special day
each week. Pizza and dessert will be served at lunchtime, followed
by some outdoor fun that may or may not involve water! It is a good
idea to pack a change of clothes for these days! Camp t-shirts will be
handed out, and all campers will have the opportunity to autograph
each other’s shirts.
Religion
As a Christian camp, religion is an integral part of the day at Camp
Immanuel. Each morning and afternoon session will start in the
Chapel with devotions led by our camp staff. During the day our
campers will participate in prayer at snack and lunch time.
Food
Children attending a half day of camp should bring a snack and a
water bottle. For our full-day campers, please send 2 snacks, one
each for morning and afternoon, as well as lunch and a water bottle.
All food should be in an insulated cooler with the camper’s name on it.
Pizza will be served on Fridays during each session. If your child does
not eat pizza, please provide him/her with lunch from home on Friday.
Microwaves are not available.
Prohibited Items
An integral part of Camp Immanuel is making new friends and building
relationships; therefore the use of hand-held games, electronics,
tablets, cell phones and iPods are strictly prohibited.
Fees, Cancellations
There is a $50 non-refundable deposit that is charged per child at the
time of registration. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the
start of the registered session. Any cancellations made after the start
of camp will incur a $25 fee plus the $50 non-refundable deposit.
Termination
Camp Immanuel reserves the right to remove any camper from our
program for repeated behavioral issues. Refunds are at the discretion
of the camp administrator.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Camp Immanuel does not discriminate on the basis of race, national
origin, color, religion, political affiliation, age, gender or sexual
orientation in any of its educational or enrichment programs, activities
or admission policies.

their ages. This year’s VBS theme is Camp Discovery:

At Camp Discovery VBS, kids have fun being kids as they
explore the Bible, make new friends, sing songs, and learn how
Jesus works through them in their everyday lives. This 2015
VBS takes kids on a high adventure to discover 5 Bible truths
that excite and challenge them. Campers of all ages learn that
God gives them the wisdom and the courage to step out in faith
as Jesus works through them—whether they’re at school,
playing with friends, or helping out at home. Get excited for a
camping adventure that makes a lasting impact on kids as they
sing songs around the campfire, act out Bible
stories, make crafts, and eat tasty treats.

for this session will use Duct Tape to fashion fancy pencil-top
flowers, functional wallets, and several other creative crafts.
Campers will be continually amazed by the endless possibilities
with the world’s most fascinating tape!
Claytastic- ($10 materials fee) Everybody loves things that
“squish,” and clay is certainly no exception. Campers in
Claytastic will make a variety of crafts, including handprint wall
decorations, magnets, jewelry, and bowls. We will also explore
the more scientific side of “clay” as we concoct our own
playdough, pretzel dough snacks, and even experiment with the
delightfully baffling “Oobleck!”

Afternoon Session- (12:30 pm – 3:00 pm)
Shark Week Dun dun dun dun dun dun… shark week is here!
We are excited to incorporate this popular cultural phenomenon
into camp this year. Campers in this session will have fun
playing water themed games and having fun learning the real
deal about sharks as we celebrate the power of one of God’s
most mysterious creatures.
Arts & Crafts- ($5 materials fee) Campers in this general arts and
crafts session will have the freedom to explore whatever type of
crafts interest them. We will offer a range of activities not
covered in the morning sessions; for example, watercolors,
paper crafts, finger paints, pipe cleaners, and cardboard boxes
just begging for an imagination to bring them to life. We will also
offer some structured crafts such as tie-dye or t-shirt decoration.
Campers will be encouraged to experiment and take risks as
often as possible, all in the name of creative expression!

earth. We will also make unique art and compete in teamwork
and logic challenges using all recycled materials. This is the

little hands-on reminder – that all it takes is a little imagination
for one person’s trash to become another camper’s treasure.
