PARTNER WITH A NEW KIND OF SELF-PUBLISHING CONFERENCE FOR
INDIE-MINDED AUTHORS EVERYWHERE.
APRIL 15/16/17 2015
What is IndieReCon?
Not just a three-day event: also a year-long online extravaganza
IndieReCon is Unique
Over the last few years, author-publishing has grown exponentially. But it’s
not without its challenges — and a steep learning curve.
IndieReCon is a free online conference to promote quality and craft in
author-publishing.
It takes place over three days in April 2015 and is aimed at all authors with
an interest in self-publishing.
But it’s not just another author conference.
IndieReCon is unique in its cost, in its content, in the strength of the indie
team behind it, in its links with the London Book Fair and in its global reach.
The conference will last for three days but it will be enjoyed online all year
long.

Beginnings...
IndieRecon started in 2013 with two indie-minded authors, Ali
Cross and SR Johannes, who wanted to change the stigma
that then still surrounded this pathway to publication.
Fast forward to 2015, with authors at the heart of the changes
in publishing, and IndieReCon has teamed with the Alliance of
Independent Authors (ALLi), the global association for selfpublishing writers.
ALLi’s remit is to expand — grow and spread — the
conference, reaching and inspiring more indie authors across
more world territories.
5
Unique:It’s A Year Long Event
Most conferences are an event: a day or two, and it’s over.
IndieReCon is an event too — but it’s an event that lasts all
year.
IndieReCon takes place over three days but it creates a
repository of education and information that ALLi and the
IndieReCon team will draw on and promote until IndieReCon
2016.
6
Unique: It’s All FREE
Most publishing conferences are expensive.
Because IndieReCon is supported by the indie author
community, famously generous and mutually supportive;
because ALLi Partner members are also exceedingly generous
with their time, knowledge and financial support of writers;
because of the beneficence of our sponsors; in short, because
this is a conference run for authors by authors and great author
services, this is a fully free event.
7
Unique: In ItsTeam of Influencers
Before, during and after IndieReCon, a dedicated team of ALLi
authors, ambassadors and volunteers will be avidly guest
posting, tweeting, face booking, photoing, analysing and
blogging the sessions and interviews, the issues and debates,
the ideas and discussions throughout the blogosphere — all
the way up to IndieReCon 2016.
This amplification also includes an IndieReCon dedicated zone
within the Alliance of Independent Authors’ highly popular SelfPublishing Advice Blog.
8
Unique: In Its Live Link With The
London Book Fair
On Friday 17th April, IndieReCon will be brought to the web live from The
London Book Fair (LBF) at Foyle’s Bookstore Event Space in Charing
Cross Road.
150 authors in London for the Fair will gather for the first ever London
Book Fair Indie Author Fringe Festival, as part of LBF’s Book &
Screen Week.
This unique event will include panel sessions, provocative talks and Q&A
sessions with top indie authors and commentators, and an Indie Author
Fair, where readers are invited to browse and buy — all live-streamed to
those who can’t be there in person.
Unique: In The Size of Its
Worldwide Reach
IndieReCon’s goal has always been to “make indie
publishing a mission possible” for any writer who wants to
try this pathway to their readers.
Now with the Alliance of Independent Authors’s global team
of ambassadors, the conference extends its US beginnings
to reach authors everywhere
In 2013, IndieReCon debuted with over 10,000 attendees. It
increased that in 2014 to over 25,000 visitors to the
conference.
In 2015, we’re aiming for 50,000 authors worldwide… or
more!

Unique: AskALLi IndieReCon 2015
Advice Publication
AskALLi is our ongoing campaign that pledges the Alliance of
Independent Authors can answer any self-publishing question
any author might have.
As part of this campaign, IndieReCon will produce a Conference
Brochure relaying who was there, what went on and most
importantly: summarise all the learning in an easy-to-digest Q&A
format.
This brochure will be downloadable on the IndieReCon website
throughout 2015/16.
Ad spaces within will be reserved for our sponsors.
