Claus Tworeck, a proud South African lives with his family in Cape Town. He has
worked in the bus industry since 1983 and is today CEO of City Sightseeing South
Africa. After leaving school he graduated as an Industrial Engineer. He joined
Hylton Ross and moved up through the ranks from cleaning buses to mastering
the technical mechanics of buses in the workshop. Claus then moved onto
Administration and finally to the Accounts department. Claus’s understanding of
the business and the Tourism and Transportation industry set him up to
significantly grow the company after he acquired it in an MBO in 2002.
His involvement in open top buses started in 2002 with the launch of two “Cape
Town Explorer” buses. The launch of the International City Sightseeing brand
soon followed in 2004. Citysightseeing South Africa have won numerous
International awards for the high standards of the operation. Claus is known for
his enthusiasm, energy, high quality standards, attention to detail and knowledge
of the industry and is always willing to assist others.
