Mounting the Cells
The RCR body panels have mounting holes pre-cut in them for the ISIS
MASTERCELL and POWERCELLs. Use 1/4-20 bolts to mount cells to the body
panels. Bolts should be tightened so that they are snug but do not over-tighten to
crush the mounts.
The POWERCELLs each have a unique address that identifies the cell to the
MASTERCELL. There are red jumpers that set the address on each cell. The cell set
as address 1 is to be mounted in the front of the car. POWERCELL 2 should be
mounted in the rear of the car. Figure 1 shows the jumper configurations to identify
the front and rear POWERCELLs.

Wiring Hydraulic Pump to POWERCELL Harness
The POWERCELL cabin harness has a branch that leads to the dash console. This
includes feeds for the Vintage Air System and the switch for the hydraulic pump for
the nose of the car. There are red, pink and gray wires, pre-terminated with ¼
female terminals. These plug onto the male blades on the switch included with your
Race Car Replica Kit. Each wire is labeled with its mating terminal on the switch.
Plug these wires onto the switch per these labels. There is an included ground
harness with your ISIS kit. Connect these terminals to the switch per the labels on
the wires.
Wiring Power and Ground to the Steering Column
The POWERCELL cabin harness has a branch that leads to the steering column. This
includes a light-green and black wire. The light-green is switched ignition power for
the tilt/telescope mechanism on the column and the wiper control relay. The black
is ground. Plug the light-green 14-AWG wire from the Cabin Harness onto the
mating terminal on the light-green 14-AWG wire on the MASTERCELL harness. Plug
the black 14-AWG wire from the Cabin Harness to the black 22-AWG wire on the
MASTERCELL harness.

Wiring Front Harness
1. Plug the large black bulkhead mating connector onto the connector on the front of
the car.
2. Run the left and right runs of the harness to their respective headlight assemblies in
the car.
3. Connect the Orange 14-AWG wire in from the harness to cooling fan 1.
4. Connect the Tan 14-AWG wire in from the harness to cooling fan 2.
5. Connect the Green 14-AWG wire in from the harness to the horn.
6. Connect the ground harnesses for the fans and the horn and properly connect this to
ground.
7. Connect the Grey 14-AWG and Pink 14-AWG wires to the hydraulic pump for the
suspension. Flip these wires if the pump direction is reversed.

* Use the black wires as the ground reference for the switches.
You have the option to use separate inputs for ignition and starter or the ISIS One
Button Start. This is an either-or choice. Tape up the unused input wires to make
sure that they do not accidentally contact ground or other inputs.
If you choose to use separate inputs for the ignition and starter, you can either use a
traditional keyed switch or separate switches. Use the black wires included in this
harness to ground one side of the switch. The input wire corrects to the other
terminal on the switch. In the case of a traditional keyed ignition switch, connect
the ignition wire to the IGN terminal on the switch, the starter wire to START and
connect one of the black ground wires to the B+ terminal.
21
2014_08_14 RCR SL-C Installation & Setup Instructions
If you choose to use the one button start, simply connect the Tan-Yellow input wire
to a momentary button. Connect one of the black ground wires to the other terminal
on the switch.
The ISIS One-Button Start function works this way. Pressing and releasing the
button turns on the ignition and switched accessories. Pressing and releasing the
button again will turn off the ignition and switched accessories. To start the car,
press and hold the button. The ignition will turn on and after 1 second, the starter
will crank. Hold the button until the engine starts. When it is released the starter
will drop out but the ignition and switched accessories will be powered. To shut off
the engine, press and release the button again.

Connecting the Cooling Fan Trigger Wire to the GM
Fuse Box
As described in the previous section, the blue-yellow wire going to the
MASTERCELL is the cooling fan trigger. It is designed to be spliced into the output
of the cooling fan relay on the GM fuse box. Cut the cooling fan wire to length and
strip it ½” inch. Crimp the butt-splice connector for the cooling fan trigger wire to
the fan output from the GM fuse box and use a heat gun to shrink the protective
covering over the wire.
Using the ISIS inLINK Key Fobs
Your ISIS kit for the SLC includes the inLINK RF option. From the key fobs, you can
control the functions in the car. See Figure 8 for the pre-set functions on the fob.
Figure 8: inLINK Key Fob Buttons
24
2014_08_14 RCR SL-C Installation & Setup Instructions
When security is enabled from inLINK, you will get one flash of the parking lights to
verify that it is set. With security enabled, the inputs for the ignition, fuel pump,
starter and one-button start are completely disabled. You will note a message on
the MASTERCELL insight LCD screen that tells you that security is enabled if you try
to activate any of these functions.
The MASTERCELL will allow the car to be started only when security is disabled.
The parking lights will flash twice to confirm that security is disabled.

MASTERCELL Connector
Follow these instructions to connect the Blue-Yellow wire from the CAN harness
into the input connector on the MASTERCELL.
1. Press a small flat-head screwdriver on the white tab and remove the clear retainer.
See Figure A1.
Figure A1: Removing the MASTERCELL Retainer
2. Once the guide piece has been removed place a small flat head screwdriver at the
back of the connector. Pry the plastic piece back and pull the connector apart
simultaneously. Repeat for the remaining two. See Figure A2.

3. Place the blue wire with the yellow stripe from CAN cable B into socket 5. See
Figure A3.
Figure A3: Inserting Blue-Yellow Wire into Cavity 5
4. Place the clear guide cover back on. You may have to press some of the pins down if
you feel resistance. Do this using the small screwdriver or by using your hands. Once
you have the clear guide cover back on snap the connector together. See Figure A4.
