CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN—DEAR MOM SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. The CPK “Dear Mom” Sweepstakes
(the “Sweepstakes”) runs from May 1, 2015, at 12:00 a.m. (PDT) to May 31, 2015, at 11:59 p.m. (PDT)
(“Promotion Period”) and is sponsored by California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (“Sponsor” or “CPK”).
2. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, and the District of
Columbia who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Valid proof of age will be required.
Employees of Sponsor and Sponsor’s franchisees, parents, affiliates, distributors, retailers, advertising
agencies, promotion agencies, and judging agencies (and the immediate families and household
members of each of the foregoing) are not eligible to win.
3. HOW TO ENTER: Any eligible individual may enter the sweepstakes in one of the following ways:
(1) comment a story of any length celebrating mom with the hashtag #CPKDearMomSweeps and an
uploaded picture to the current pinned CPK Facebook Dear Mom post; (2) upload a picture and a story of
any length celebrating mom to Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #CPKDearMomSweeps; or (3)
email a picture and a story of any length celebrating mom to [email protected]. Entrants must
comply with all regulations and entry forms required by Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram. All postings
and emails related to the Sweepstakes must be respectful and consistent with CPK’s family friendly
goodwill and reputation. Sponsor may disqualify any entries that it considers inconsistent with its family
friendly image. All postings must be made or emails must be received by Sponsor during the Promotion
Period to qualify as entries. No correspondence regarding entries will be acknowledged or entered into
with entrants. Entries must be original and owned by the entrant. Entrants grant Sponsor the right to use
all entries in all media in connection with Sponsor’s services, including promoting the Sweepstakes.
Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, stolen, damaged or misdirected entries (all
of which are void). Although there is no limit on the number of entries per entrant, duplicate entries will
result in disqualification of the duplicative picture and story. In case of any dispute as to the identity of an
online entrant, the entry will be deemed as having been made by the "Authorized account holder" defined
as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by a telephone company, wireless service
provider, Internet access provider, Internet service provider or other organization (e.g. business,
educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses.
4. SELECTION OF WINNER: The winner will be chosen from eligible entries at the end of the Promotion
Period at random on June 3, 2015. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. PRIZE: The Grand Prize winner will be chosen at random from eligible entries to receive a trip package
for 2 to the MGM Grand® in Las Vegas, NV on August 14, 2015 – August 16, 2015. Trip package
consisting of:

Round trip, coach-class air transportation for two from a major airport near winner’s home (airline
determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion);

Two nights' accommodations at the MGM Grand® (one room, double occupancy). Check-in
August 14, 2015, and check out August 16, 2015;

$500 spa credit at the MGM Grand®

A $500 shopping spree in Downtown Summerlin Mall via an American Express gift card;

Round trip transportation via a private car service from the MGM Grand® to CPK’s Summerlin
Restaurant;

Lunch or dinner for two at CPK Summerlin (up to $200 in value).

Travel must commence on August 14 and end on August 16 , 2015. All travelers must travel on the
same itinerary. Travel must be round trip. Sponsor will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole
discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight.
Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and those set forth by the
Sponsor's airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. If trip destination is less
than 250 miles from the winner's residence, winner will be provided $200 in spending money for driving
expenses in lieu of air transportation. Sponsor is not responsible if any scheduled event is delayed,
postponed or cancelled for any reason and winner will not be reimbursed for tickets. Tickets may be
subject to issuer’s standard rain-check policies and procedures. All expenses, travel, meals, and other
costs not expressly stated in the package description above are the sole responsibility of winner. Both
winner and winner’s travel companion must be at least 21 years of age. Winner and travel companion
must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of prize documents. Restrictions, conditions and
limitations may apply. Lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, vouchers or certificates will not be replaced. By
accepting ticket prize, winner agrees to abide by any terms, conditions and restrictions provided by the
ticket. Sponsor is not responsible if winner does not use airline ticket on the travel days set forth above.
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $3,500.
6. TERMS & CONDITIONS: The winner will be notified by email within three (3) days after selection, and
will be required to respond within 48 hours or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
Potential winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity
Release (where permitted by law) within 5 days of notification (first attempted delivery) or the prize may
be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. By entering, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by
these rules and the judges’ decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this
Sweepstakes. All prizes are non-transferable. No cash redemption or substitution permitted, except by
Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any and all federal, state, and local taxes,
and any other related expenses on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
By accepting a prize, the winner agrees that neither Sponsor its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries,
distributors, retailers, and/or any of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, distributors,
employees or promotion/advertising agencies will have any liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses,
harm, damage, cost, or expense arising from or in connection with participation in this Sweepstakes or
any prize-related activities, or the acceptance, possession, use and/or misuse of a prize. Acceptance of a
prize further constitutes winner’s consent that the Sponsor or its public relations/promotional agencies
may use winner’s name, state of residence, likeness and/or prize and biographical information worldwide
without limitation for advertising or promotional purposes (online, in print and in other media) without
further compensation, except where prohibited. All Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations apply.
Sponsor’s privacy policy http://www.cpk.com/privacy/ applies to all entries.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Sponsor is not responsible for any lost, misdirected, delayed or illegible
entries, nor for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users or by any of the
equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human
error that may occur in the processing of entries. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error,
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure,
theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any
problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line-systems, servers
or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email account, or technical problems or traffic
congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to
participants’ or to any person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading
materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned,
including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures,
or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security,
fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion
to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
8. OTHER: CAUTION. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO
DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE
SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN
ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING,
REASONABLE ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
PERMITTED BY LAW. Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor may disqualify any entrants from the
Sweepstakes who deliberately damage, tamper with or undermine the legitimate operation of the
Sweepstakes.
9. OFFICIAL RULES/WINNER’S LIST: Winner will be announced through Sponsor’s known social media
accounts. For an additional copy of these Official Rules or a winner’s list send a stamped, self-addressed
envelope (residents of Vermont may omit return postage) postmarked on or before June 15, 2015, to:
