Chapter 2: Pre-installation server requirements
for Rocket Discover
The Linux server (CentOS 7 64–bit) must be installed and configured before you install Rocket
Discover.
Ensure that your server has the following minimum configurations:

Chapter 3: Installing Rocket Discover on the
server
Rocket Discover is installed on Linux (CentOS 7 64 bit) server.
Perform the following steps to install Rocket Discover:

Log in to the Linux server.
Run the following command:
curl −o setup.bin https://download.rocketsoftware.com/ro/
d/138F87DD14804BACB392F23AC61E1406
Run the following command to make the setup.bin file executable.
chmod +x setup.bin
Run the following command to start the installer:
sudo ./setup.bin
To accept the user license, enter y at the prompt.
To accept installation of Mongodb as the database, enter y at the prompt.
To set /db as the default installation directory, press enter.
Restart the server by entering y at the prompt.
Chapter 4: Accessing Rocket Discover
To access Rocket Discover software you must apply a valid user license key. Ensure that Rocket
Discover server is connected to the Internet.
To log in to the application:

Point your browser to the URL http://<rocket server>:3000.
Apply the license key on the license registration screen.
Click Send.

On the account creation page, enter the user credentials to register the first user.
By default, the first user that is created is the administrator with permissions to access all the
features.
Click Register.

On the log-in screen, enter your user ID and password, and then click Sign In.
The Rocket Discover home page is displayed.
