Auditions
The production team are looking for some wonderful singers, actors and dancers. Due to the fact
that this show is a highlight of the disco era, we are looking for those singers who have the pop
sound voice. We are also looking for some strong dancers to make up the dance chorus.
There will be a dance class/“cattle call” on Sunday 2nd June from 10am-12pm. If you are a strong
dancer and are interested in being a part of the dancing chorus, please come to this audition. You
will not be required to sing on this day.
If you are interested in being a principal or in the singing chorus, we would like you to attend this
dance class, so that we are able to evaluate your dancing ability. Choreography will be simplified for
non-dancers.
All principal roles will be auditioned on Tuesday 11th June, with possible call backs on Thursday 13th.
All those who are interested in auditioning for principal roles are required to sing the song listed in
the cast breakdown. When you book your audition, you will be emailed out the sheet music of that
song to practice with. You will be required to do a short reading with other people auditioning on
the night.

Tickets Sales and Fundraising
All cast members are expected to actively promote the production, assist in ticket sales and take
part in any associated fund-raising events.
One fun fundraising activity that is already planned is a Bunnings BBQ on Saturday 6th July. This will
be done at the Ashfield branch, which is located on the corner of Parramatta Road and Fredrick St,
Ashfield. You will not be required for the whole day, but we do expect that you will be able to come
and help out for an hour or two, throughout the day. A roster will be created closure to the time to
ensure enough coverage to facilitate this fundraising.
This is a great way to meet your fellow cast members, and the committee. After all, the reason why
community theatre is so enjoyable is for the friendships that are made and the social fun that can
come out of it. We hope you can come and help even if it’s for only an hour.
