Ben Seager-Scott, Director - Investment Strategy at Tilney
Bestinvest will join us at the event and open the seminar with a
market update and summary of our house view.
We are pleased to welcome George Buckley, Deutsche Bank’s
Chief UK Economist. George will provide his pre & post-election
perspectives on the economy with a review of the possible
economic implications dependent on voting outcomes.

George Buckley,

Ben Seager-Scott sits within
the Investment Office at
Tilney Bestinvest, having
previously been a Senior
Research Analyst within the
research team which he joined
in May 2011. Before this, Ben
spent 4 years at Whitechurch
Securities in Bristol, where
he was a Senior Analyst.
In addition to investment
strategy duties, he is also
responsible for researching
passive investment vehicles
and forms part of the
investment committee for
the fund-of-fund range and
managed portfolio service as
well as being a member of the
fund selection committee.
Ben has a PhD in Biochemistry
and is a CFA charterholder.
He is an associate member
of the Chartered Institute for
Securities and Investment and
a member of the CFA Society
of the UK.
George Buckley is Deutsche
Bank’s Chief UK Economist,
also covering Scandinavia and
Switzerland. He has 16 years’
experience as an analyst at
Deutsche Bank having joined
in 1998, following a PhD at the
University of Bristol (housing
and mortgage markets).
While at Bristol George
lectured and taught tutorials
in macroeconomics and
econometrics. He holds
an MSc in Economics and
Finance, also from the
University of Bristol, and a
BA in Economics from the
University of Wales, Bangor.
George has published a
book on economics (What
You Need to Know About
Economics, Capstone, 2011)
and won the Society of
Business Economists’ annual
Rybzcynski Prize for an essay
on spare capacity.
