How to Record Your CPD Online
This provides a step by step guide to members on how to log their CPD on www.ipi.ie. Please note this
is to manually add CPD. If you book an IPI event through the site and are logged in, it will be
automatically added to your record.
Step One: Log in to www.ipi.ie
Begin by logging into the Members’ Area of www.ipi.ie by selecting the ‘Member Login’ option on the
top right. To log in use the email address registered with us (the one you receive IPI ezines, emails etc.
on)
Step Two: Click Log CPD
Select ‘Events & CPD’ on the main menu and click ‘Log CPD’. This option will only appear if you have
logged in as a member as per Step One. This brings you to the Member Dashboard. The Member
Dashboard can also be visited by selecting the option on the left hand menu on any page of the site
once you are logged in. Here you can also change your password, address etc.

Step Three: Member Dashboard
Here you will see upcoming events, recent member only publications and the ‘Add CPD’ option. Click
‘Add CPD’ on the right hand menu to add CPD to your record.
Step Four: Adding CPD
To add an IPI CPD event or contribution to the Institute (as a branch committee member for example),
simply enter its title, the box is set to auto complete the name of any CPD events that have been
advertised on the site or contributions under category 2. This will also give the relevant CPD credits
and the category. This is required if you have not booked through the new website, if it took place
before the new site launched, etc. Once the details have been entered, click on “ADD CPD RECORD”.
The event will then be added to your CPD record.
To add CPD accumulated at non IPI events or through other activities, select ‘Other CPD’ in the ‘Choose
the type of CPD you want to add’ menu.
Enter the details of the event, including the category and credits.
Click on the ‘ADD CPD RECORD’ button to add this event to your CPD record.

Step Five: Reviewing CPD
The Member Dashboard gives an overview of recent CPD added and the total number of credits
accumulated. Click ‘MANAGE CPD’ for full details.
