with the League of Women Voters. Our aims are to provide you with the opportunity to
share your qualifications and aspirations for District 204 and to provide voters with the
opportunity to ask questions in a moderated, unbiased format.
Our District 204 Board of Education Candidate Forum will be held on Thursday, March 19,
2015 in the board rooms of the Crouse Education Center, located at 780 Shoreline Drive,
Aurora, Illinois 60504.
Please arrive to the Crouse Education Center no later than 6:30 p.m. that evening. We will
provide equal space for each candidate to place campaign literature just outside of the
board rooms. Upon the dais, we will provide you with pens, paper and bottled water.
In advance of the forum, IPPC will prepare a Voter Guide (different from the Vote411
Guide put out by the LWV). If you wish to participate, please provide written responses to
questions outlined in Attachment 4. For inclusion in the guide, email your responses to
Leah Keane, IPPC Forum Chair, by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9th. The guide will be
published on the IPPC and LWV websites after March 9. Limited copies will be available
at the forum on March 19th.

Indian Prairie Parents’ Council
The Indian Prairie Parents’ Council (IPPC) is the umbrella organization for all 34 PTA and PTSA units in
District 204. Each unit is represented by its PTA President and IPPC Representative. IPPC meets monthly with
District 204 administration to share information about local, state and national issues affecting the education, health
and welfare of children and youth.
The League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization which encourages the informed and active
participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
Forum Moderator
Lori Miller, our forum moderator, is a Past President and active member of the Wheaton League of Women
Voters and assisted as a state issues specialist for the Illinois League. She has been a Deputy Voter Registrar for 18
years, coordinating numerous voter registration drives at community events and DuPage County High Schools,
engaging citizens to get registered, educated on the issues, and to get involved. Lori coordinated 4 area high schools
for past IL Mock Student Elections made possible through a partnership with the McCormick Foundation and the IL
League. Lori has served as a Moderator for many Congressional, State and local political forums and events over
the years.
