Monday, June 10, 2013 Created by Lee Patterson Nothing Ordinary. A Talk Show A comedy, with friends, having dinner. Just don’t bring the kids Treatment by Lee Patterson Weekly: The format for “Nothing Ordinary” is focused on a weekly 30 minute unbiased and bold discussions among a panel of 6-8 guest usually consisting of the host, 3 celebrities (Reality stars, Industry Artist), 2 political figures (maybe convicted). All with diverse personalities at a dinner table for a comedic, quirky, intellectual and entertaining dining experience to recap current events, pop culture, Music, reality TV and relationships. All while enjoying the good life, great food and wine at a dinner table set in a lavish destination, mainly at the private Malibu Beach House. We will also explore the random conversations among our guests and watch how the evening unfolds at the table as the personalities clash and how we managed to avoid for example; tipsy girlfriends flirting with a married guest and wine thrown in a face due to a rude political comment and that OMG! Did he just say that? Moment. Ok, we couldn’t avoid that! But at the end, everybody will be full, drunk, educated and there will be music. The guests are not one sided as far as politics and personal beliefs, but are of mixed views, so that a more diversified set of views is achieved. One guest would be a liberal commentator or a political figure, another one would be a conservative commentator or politician and another would be a person with moderate beliefs i.e. a person who does not have a clear ideological label. In each episode, numerous members of the panel would be an actor, comedian, musician, or any other celebrity or a special random non industry related guest (such as Brooklyn wise guy, stripper, homeless person and etc.) The show will be a compilation of Colbert Report, The Soup, Dinner for 5, SNL and Housewives. Intro: Every episode starts off at the front door entrance as the host welcomes the camera into the home and performs a comedic out of the box and over the top mini sketch relating to the primary topic of that episode. (See details on episode format) Food: The kitchen will introduce and follow a featured celebrated chef and allow him to elaborate and instruct us on what appetizers, entrees and desserts he will prepare for our guest this evening. Let’s just hope for enough portions, and lack of kitchen fires….. Drink: The celebrated chef will also pair exclusive beverages for each dinner. Whether it is wine, spirits or Belgian beer, they will drink! Monday, June 10, 2013 Created by Lee Patterson • • • • • Celebrity: “Nothing Ordinary” has invited 6 celebrity guests ranging from sports, music, film, media and political figures. Comedy: Our panel consists of celebrity; all selected will have whit and a sense of humor and can entertain our host who is an established personality. Drama: We will emphasize on a quality, entertaining and intellectual conversation, but sometimes big personalities just can’t hold back when disagreed. Set Vision: Multimillion dollar Beach house, private ocean side dinning, celebrity, wine and food! We will inspire many! However, we will feature affordable products such as wine and food for our viewers to enjoy at home and for their events. Product Placement: Within each episode we will incorporate commercial brands to be placed in many scenes if not all to generate revenue and create extensive brand awareness. Destination: Each episode will be filmed on location at one of 3 homes in the Los Angeles area, Malibu Beach house, Hollywood Hills or Down Town, Providing diversity in ambiance and seasonal landscapes. Topics of Conversation: • Pop Culture: Conversation will include who’s doing what and who doing who in the entertainment industry. • Politics and Local Events: We will discuss global and national events such as presidency, tax issues, gay rights, and/or religion and allow opinions. Let’s just hope everybody agrees or doesn’t say something completely ignorant! • Relationships: I’m not sure he knew that about his wife??? Love, sex and money will definitely be a topic of interest at this table, probably not for the innocent ears. • Actors: Interview with special entertainment guest. • Music: Interview with a special guest and an intimate solo musical performance will be provided live and unplugged by our celebrity musical guest at the end of each episode.
