Summer College Exposure & Basketball Camp August 3 - 6 Community College of Philadelphia The motto of the ISAA is “Complete to Compete” and we believe that true studentathletes consider themselves successful only when they are focused on being a student first, not just an athlete. We feel that under the guidance of our experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic leadership, we can create an atmosphere conducive for producing educated and confident individuals who will be productive members of society. The ISAA has established the goals of this camp experience to include: ISAA College Exposure & Basketball Camp This unique college exposure camp is designed to give middle school studentathletes, entering grades 5 through 9, a realistic view of the life of a high school and collegiate student-athlete. This 4-day experience focuses on the development of basketball skills and academic and social preparation for high school and ultimately college. Participants will receive; Group and individual coaching to improve the basketball skills of each student-athlete Health and nutrition education designed for athletes Life skills / Mentoring Sessions Leadership Development Sessions ISAA Staff Our experienced staff is dedicated to the youth who join our program. They consist of degreed professionals in the areas of education, athletics and human services who have a true passion for helping each member of the program achieve and reach their full potential. The basketball staff has years of experience in coaching and skill development especially for youth. Motivation to prioritize education Develop each student-athlete’s basketball skills and knowledge of the game Transitions from middle school to high school and ultimately to college. Emphasize the importance of developing good academic skills, especially in reading, writing and mathematics. Development of good character Practice healthy lifestyles This is an intense 4-day experience and participants are expected to attend each day on-time and be ready to work!!!
