SABOTAGERECORDS:
Sabo64: Autistic Youth: Graves 7'' 2,50 euro
Hot on the heels of their recent NONAGE LP, AUTISTIC YOUTH drop three new smashers for their pretty
succesful third European Tour. They continue the path of melodic hardcore with a mature edge. First press is 500
copies on black vinyl. All records come with a coupon for free digital download.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO DOMESTIC US VERSION OF THIS RECORD!
Sabo62: The Estranged: Type Foundry Session Vol. 1 6,90 euro
'Type Foundry Session I' is an LP collection of The Estranged's first recording sessions at Type Foundry Studios
in Portland, OR, totalling eight songs, all released as 7" tracks, most of which are now out of print. This record
showcases the band's distinct style of omnimous, dark punk at their most raw and urgent, mixing The Cure, Wire,
Joy Division and Christian Death and giving the end result a modern feel. LP includes MP3 download coupon.
Sabo61: The Estranged: S/T LP 6,90 euro
Past and present members of Portland hardcore mainstays such as Remains Of The Day, Hellshock, Warcry,
Lebenden Toten, etc pull a 180 and dish out nine new tracks of icy, ominous postpunk. Since their last releases,
The Estranged have dialed back the explicit aggression of their early records a bit, and dialed up the textured,
atmospheric, layered sounds of prime 80s deathrock/postpunk. A little less US influence, a little more UK. A
little less Wipers, a little more Cure/Chameleons UK/Joy Division, etc..
Sabo60: Autistic Youth: Nonage LP 6,90 euro
Reigning from the burbs of Portland in late 2003, Autistic Youth has spent the past 10 years touring and releasing
records in North America and Europe. After almost three years since their last full length record, Autistic Youth
is releasing their junior LP. Drawing from both classic and obscure influences, "Nonage" is more refined, yet
remains true to the sound they've had for so many years. "Nonage" was recorded and produced by Autistic
Youth, Adam Becker and Matthew Morgan at Red Lantern studios in Portland, OR this past winter. AY's
upcoming west coast tour with Freedom Club begins in November with a European tour to follow in February
Sabo59: Terrible Feelings: Backwoods 7'' 2,90 euro
Someone described the music as “Loud, dark, therapeutic, and rough around the edges” and Anton once said he
played “black angst-ridden power pop.” Both quotes sum up Terrible Feelings pretty well. Place their sound
somewhere in the wastelands between Wipers, Redd Kross, Ebba Grön and Murder City Devils.
The band has to date released three 7”s and one full length album. They’ve embarked on no less than five full
European tours and two US tours (one on each coast). They’ve shared stages with bands such as Jeff the
Brotherhood, White Lung, Imperial State Electric, Fucked Up, The Raveonettes, and The Babies; and were
handpicked by none other than Refused as support in both Europe and Sweden on their final tour.
Musically Terrible Feelings has been described as proto punk, dark power pop and gloomy surf, with a tint of
both country and 70s hard rock. All descriptions are correct. It’s rock 'n' roll.
Sabo58: Bi-Marks: S/T 12''
6,50 euro
7 new songs from this Portland band who play fast, catchy HC. The foundation is blistering 80s-inspired HC a la
DIRECT CONTROL, but they add in some melodies and catchier song structures. It sort of reminds me of a mix
between RKL's blistering, catchy metallic punk and the ADOLESCENTS' more refined approach. Basically,
though, this is catchy, west coast-style HC delivered with rawness, aggression and intensity. Features members
of NERVESKADE and BOG PEOPLE. Ripping!another great split release with static age records. ..
Sabo57:The Bellicose Minds: The Spine LP 6,50 EuroBeing lauded as one of the forerunners of the modern
day post-dark-goth-punk revival only scratches the surface of this 3 piece band. Brooding music overlayed with
despair and anger, attacking aspects often untouched or lost in the a-politcal climate permeating the scene these
days. They share similarities in style with bands as far ranging as the CHAMELEONS or early CURE and later
T.S.O.L., 45 GRAVE all the while cutting their own path and staying true to their musical/lyrical integrity. This
11 song debut album follows up on their earlier demos and self titled 7" from a few years back. The creativity
coupled with the dark and moody atmospheric elements in their song writing raising the bar even higher with
this newest release.
Sabo56: Spectres: Nothing to Nowhere LP 6,50 euro
"Nothing to Nowhere" is the Spectre's second full length release, following up 2010's "Last Days. This new
record features ten songs that explore a range of influences from early west coast punk to British post-punk and
anarcho, early death rock and new wave."
Sabo55:White Lung: S/T 7'' 3 euro
Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., high-energy punks White Lung pull references from every era of punk remaining
unforgiving yet melodic. Their debut LP It's the Evil (Deranged) was named Punk Album Of The Year by
Exclaim! and their sophomore LP Sorry (Deranged) has managed to top the last.Spawned from East Vancouver’s
dirty DIY Emergency Room scene, White Lung formed in 2006 with guitarist Kenneth joining in 2009. From the
beginning they were road warriors, touring regularly, even contemplating selling their underwear just to get on
the road (they eventually opted for the more practical route of saving up funds.) White Lung broke out of their
incestuous local scene and brought their music across Canada and the US. They continue to tour fanatically, their
live shows have been called, “effortlessly engaging and enigmatic, harnessing a controlled violence that
managed to be passionate without going the least bit over-the-top” by Exclaim! Magazine.
The band’s disparate influences have resulted in a wealth of comparisons. Stylistically White Lung’s music has
been called everything from noise rock to skate punk to post-riot grrl. According to Way, “When you like playing
music you just want to learn, and that comes with playing as much as you can. White Lung is a really odd
combination of four people who have pretty different influences.”
Sabo53: Rank/Xerox: S/T LP 6,50 euro
‘San Francisco’s Rank/Xerox do the future-primitive punk thing so effortlessly well that they would’ve been a
perfect addition to Subterranean’s roster some thirty years earlier, fitting snugly between Nervous Gender and
Flipper. That’s not to say they sound like either of those bands, though – rather, Rank/Xerox have a visceral-yetmoody texture reminiscent of Feederz, some Rudimentary Peni attitude, and maybe even a little VSS-styled DIY
laser light-show action. In all of those classic punk scenes, none of the original bands really sounded like each
other anyway, its more of the anxious strumming and frantic percussion that would make them a perfect
candidate for any S.F. Underground compilation. The three songs here sound fresh yet classic, and at a total
playing time around five minutes, I’d be wearing out the grooves on my copy if it wasn’t for my successful MP3
search. Don’t you dare go looking for them, though – (from yellow green red)
Sabo52: Warsong: The Caravan 12'' 6,50 euro
Here we go, from the ashes of INSOMNIO and NO ESCAPE comes WARSONG with their second release after
their impressive “Ancient times” debut-LP. Five songs: all killer no filler (four original songs plus a Wipers song
that hasn’t been covered to death – especially not in Spain). On a good day, this record will make out an instant
classic, on a bad day you’ll have to play it twice to discover the depth and richness of this record, but you
definitely won’t sell it to anyone else again, because real good records stay forever. If you want to describe the
sound of WARSONG, put together a band with a young Clif Hanger (The Freeze) fronting an all star band with
the best ingredients from DAG NASTY, ALL, THE WIPERS and the mighty ADOLESCENTS. Your wettest
dreams come true, if their subject is pure melodic hardcore-punk in classic 80s style. The more often you play
this record the bigger it grows … and it’s damn huge right now.(kalle stille)
Sabo51: Mundo Muerto: Entre El Kaos Lp 6,50
The debut lp by California's mighty MUNDO MUERTO! Retaining the melody of the earlier
7" and 12" eps but with a harder, faster edge this lp is by far MM's best material to date.
11 tracks of pure hardcore punk greatness. From the build up on the first track to the
last note this smokes all the way through!!!! The Spanish vocals only add to the
amazingness of this lp and all the "whoa" parts will have you singing along even if you
dont speak the language. Catch the Histeria!!!Split label release with
Charged//Distorted(Vancouver, BC)500
copies-random colored inserts.
Sabo50: Terrible Feelings: Shadows LP 6,50
After infinite discussions concerning aesthetics, lyricism and musical preferences,
“Terrible Feelings” was chosen as the most fitting name for this musical outfit, which saw
the light of day sometime late summer 2009, in MalmoチN, Sweden. Whilst the band may
have its origins in an eternally blossoming punk scene, Terrible Feelings represents so
much more than that.
With music and lyrics rooted in 70s devil-worshipping hard rock and 80s spleeny new
wave, Terrible Feelings play a sophisticated and gloomy mixture of power pop and punk.
MaximumRock ‘n’ Roll had the following to say about their single “Impending Doom”:
There is a chance that this may be my new favorite band, which is a bold claim to make
from a measly two song record. … It’s difficult to write and produce a two song 45 that
people will actually listen to more than a couple times, but this record has me flipping
the thing over and over repeatedly because these two songs are both fucking amazing.
The music is upbeat and poppy, but the lyrics are about complacency and forgetting
about your dreams. This will definitely be one of my favorite records of the year and
hopefully there will be enough bleak winter months over there to inspire a full LP.
After having been biding time for the majority of 2009 and 2010, the band released not
one, but three singles in 2011, on both European and North American shores, to wide
critical and public acclaim. The band also completed three European tours that same
year, and shared stages with acts such as Jeffthe Brotherhood, YussufJerusalem, and
NightBirds, and was hand-picked by Fucked Up to open on the Scandinavian leg of their
fall tour.
2012 will see the release of “Shadows”, Terrible Feelings’ debut full length. The album
was recorded at Tambourine Studios in their hometown, in January 2012. Co-producer
Erik Sunding spurred them to use more than ten different guitars and amps, a quirky
violin bass played over a massive amp from the 70s, old beat up drums, farfisa,
hammond, piano and tons of rippling percussion. The outcome is 12 quite different
songs, somehow all tied together by a common notion; walking hand in hand towards a
bleak future. For those with a weakness for melancholic yet danceable punkrock, this
record might just prove to be an essential staple in any collection.
A US tour is in the works for the summer, as well as more relentless touring all over
Europe. Watch out
Sabo49: Bi-Marks: The Golden Years LP 6,50
18 blistering tracks of non stop hardcore punk! Once you drop this wax on your turntable
you will glue it down for a while. You can't just listen to one song this is an addictive
album that just refuses to stop! The gift that keeps giving...Bi Marks!
Sabo48: Sonic Avenues: Television Youth LP 6,50
SONIC AVENUES are just four Montreal kids who started riffing punk tunes in 2006, but
since getting swept up in the booming punk epicentre of neighbouring Ottawa, they've
been catapulted into the ranks of the best pop-punk acts in Canada! After releasing a few
singles, SONIC AVENUES dropped a bomb in late 2009 with their debut LP on Ottawa's
infamous Going Gaga Records. Within a few short months, the record had sold-out twice,
including a European repress by Germany's fine Taken By Surprise and Sabotage
Records. Two years later, after obliterating eardrums from stages across North America
and Europe, they returned home to record a crushing follow-up, Television Youth, for
prestigious Portland-based label Dirtnap Records. Featuring more of the over-driven
guitars, infectious harmonized melodies and blazing 2-3 minute songs that powered their
debut, the AVES have nonetheless pushed the limits into new territories with this latest
offering. In short, Television Youth is punkier, poppier, louder and dirtier than anything
they've done before. Armed with this devastating new arsenal, as well as ambitious
touring plans spanning the (un)civilized world, SONIC AVENUES are sure to keep fists in
the air and beers a-flyin' for years to come.
Sabo47: Arctic Flowers: Reveries 12'' 6,50
One of the most well known of Portland’s fertile post punk influenced scene, Arctic
Flowers follows up their well received debut EP and split with Spectres. Their sound builds
on the foundation of UK anarchopunk meeting their previous work with such bands as
Signal Lost and The Observers. This 12″ has 8 songs leaning more towards the hardcore
end of the spectrum while throwing in the occasional Mob influenced bit of melodic punk.
Sabo46: Chad Van Gallen: Soft Airplane 2x12'' 10,50
Finally the european Vinyl version of Chad VanGaalen’s Soft Airplane CD which got
released on Sub Pop Records a while ago. Including 2 vinyl only Bonus Tracks, wrapped
in a proper gatefold-cover for the first time with hand-drawn Illustrations from Chad
himself on the inner section, this re-release makes a special companion for his Europe
Tour in August 2011! A notorious homebody, Chad VanGaalen is well known for rarely
leaving his basement in Calgary, endlessly drawing, recording and making art.
Fortunately, he has an uncanny knack for creating music that is sweepingly beautiful and
undeniably genuine, and with his third full-length Soft Airplane, this celebrated multitalented
artist has created his most complete album to date. With Infiniheart (2005) and
Skelliconnection (2006), Chad displayed an innate understanding of simple pop melody
and a penchant for intellectually playful arrangements. Compiled from years of hidden
back-catalogue and lo-fi CD-R releases, both albums went on to receive critical acclaim
from across the globe. While his first albums hinted at musical reference points (that
even Chad seemed to be reluctant to embrace), Soft Airplane reveals an artist utterly in
stride ? confident enough to span genres, while working with a determined and deliberate
focus. Sometimes the most powerful of musical expressions come from the most hushed
and unassuming sources; with Soft Airplane, Chad Vangaalen has created one of these
rare, heartfelt and gripping moments from the depths of his cluttered basement.
Fortunately for him - and us.
Sabo45: Crusades: The Sun is down and the night is riding in Lp 6.50
To call the Ottawa punk scene incestual makes it sound too wholesome. At this point, a
band family tree would be impossible. They’ve crossed the line into band forest territory;
new sprouts feeding off the old growth. It’s a successful ecosystem inhabited by amazing
musicians. At the end of the day, those people and their bands are releasing the most
high quality records, per capita, in the entire world. The newest germination is Crusades’
debut full-length, The Sun Is Down and the Night Is Riding In. In my eyes, all punk worth
a damn is somewhat anti-Christian, but Crusades take it to a new level. They combine
their disdain for organized religion with melodies four voices deep. Crusades own the
night, enlisting the unholy powers of unlikely allies like The Chinese Telephones, From
Ashes Rise, and Alice Cooper. Comes in gatefold, reverse board cover, with a download
code.
Sabo44: Terrible Feelings: Impending Doom 7'' 2,50
Terrible Feelings’ date of birth was sometime during the fall of 2009, in MalmoチN, Sweden.
Anton and Manuela had been set on trying out new stuff that was different from their
previous band constellations, and recruited Andy and Willy along the way. In April 2010
the band released a four-song demo, to some pretty rave reviews. Since then, they’ve
played all over Sweden and Germany, and shared stages with a variety of bands; Cheap
Time, Cola Freaks, Screaming Females, and Tyvek, among others. The spring of 2011
saw the release of two 7”s. Tied Up on Timmeheiehumme Records from Germany, and
Impending Doom, a co-release between Sabotage Records and Manuela’s own Lack Of
Sleep imprint.
Someone described the music as “Loud, dark, therapeutic, and rough around the edges”,
and Anton once said he played “black angst-ridden power pop.” Both quotes sum up
Terrible Feelings pretty well. Place their sound somewhere in the wastelands between
Wipers, Redd Kross, Ebba GroチNn and Murder City Devils.
In June they’ll embark on a three week European tour, which will take them through
Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland. A Japanese release on the label Donuts Pop is
scheduled for early fall 2011, and Scotch Tapes from Canada will release the demo
tracks on tape and flexi disc sometime soon.
Terrible Feelings – Impending Doom (b/w Death To Everyone)
Released in April 2011. Vinyl 7-inch single (2 songs, 45 rpm).

Sabo42: Cat Party: Rhapsody in Black LP 6.50
Cat Party started in 2007. They are a post-punk band from Orange County, CA. Since
then they're released a hanful of records and been playing shows non stop. They've
played up and down the west coast states as well as the southwest. This year their send
full length entitled "Rhapsody In Black" is being released. Sticking to their DIY roots the
band is releasing limited versions of the cd while Sabotage records out of Germany is
handling the vinyl. Release date for the new record is scheduled to be May 16, 2011.
Rhapsody In Black was recorded at Cal State University, Domiguez Hills. Our friend Josh
McKendry (Jisaw Thoughts 7", The Aftertaste/Cut City split 7", Heartache Over Headache
EP)was finishing up school, getting his bachelors in sound engineering. We recorded
everything there as part of his final project and later fixed up 25% of the record
(bass/vocals) down in San Clemente at Jasmine Studios. This record was done entirely by
Ryan and Roger, Roger on drums and Ryan handling guitar, bass, and vocals. We are very
proud of this record. There's some typical Cat Party tunes on here as well as some songs
that took on a new direction/approach. I hope everyone enjoys the record, we worked
extremely hard on this one. We owe Joshbig time!

Sabo41: Sonic Avenues: S/T LP 6.50
Formed in 2006, they've been developing their craft over 4 years...preparing, and finally
executing...this is the debut album from the Montreal power pop punk combo. This
record originally came out limited to 300 pieces on the great Ottawa based Going Gaga
label and I am happy to repress this with different cover art. It came out of left field and
knocked me out of my boots when I heard it the first time... and still does. Bang on
performance, slick punk rock, with a great reverence for pop music songwriting. A totally
satisfying sound! A great Friday night solution for any tin-banger, house-spouse or desk
jockey!!!

Sabo40 Hero Dishonest: Dangerous LP + CD + DL 3 Points / 7 Euros
Recorded during the winter and spring of 2010, DANGEROUS is the new full length album
from Finlands Hero Dishonest. During their eleven years of existence they have put out
four lp's before this one, and probably played at a club/bar/squat/punk house near you.
Like with their previous releases, DANGEROUS continues to add new elements to the
bands hardcore punk based sound. This time more midtempo and melodic influences
have been introduced to the bands trademark hyperspeed thrash. During the four years
that the record gradually took shape(between tours, jobs, illnesses and changing
diapers), the band managed to come up with their most versatile collection of songs to
date.
The record also includes the Cd version of the Album....
The download version of the album contains a bonus live concert, recorded in Vilnius,
Lithuania in the fall of 2009.
Again co-released with ifsociety

Sabo38: Autistic Youth: Idle Minds LP 6,50 Euros
We've come a long way, baby... Long awaited 2nd album from hardworking PDX
youngsters, following up ''Landmine Beach''LP, as well as singles. Driving, melodic
punk/hardcore (but NOT melodic hardcore if ya get the distinction) with dark, swirling
undercurrents. Catchy but not at all vapid. Sounding like a cross between Portland,
Southern California, and Copenhagen, you could compare this to bands like THE
OBSERVERS, NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, REAGAN YOUTH, or ADOLESCENTS, This record is
again a co-prduction with, guess who, yeah, of course: TAKEN BY SURPRISE RECORDS
in Munich. Our friends Keith (BLACK WATER) and Ken (DIRTNAP) released this album in
the Americas. All copies come with a coupon for free digital download. The first press are
500 on black vinyl.
Sabo34: The Estranged: Subliminal Man LP 6.50 euro
Past and present members of Portland hardcore mainstays such as Remains Of The Day,
Hellshock, Warcry, Lebenden Toten, etc pull a 180 and dish out ten tracks of icy, ominous
postpunk. Since their last release, The Estranged have dialed back the explicit aggression
of their early singles a bit, and dialed up the textured, atmospheric, layered sounds of
prime 80s deathrock/postpunk. A little less US influence, a little more UK. A little less
Wipers, a little more Cure/Chameleons UK/Joy Division, etc.
The Subliminal Man was painstakingly, impeccably recorded at Type Foundry Studios in
Portland and features 8 new ones, a re-recording of ''Statue In A Room'' (originally
released as a split 7'' with Autistic Youth) and a rather stunning cover of The Flys’ 1978
classic ''Love And A Molotov Cocktail''. You need this. All LPs come with download
coupon. This is another coop with NEW DARK AGE RECORDS!!!!
DIRTNAP RECORDS from Portland did the US version of this one!! go check
them out!!!
Sabo32: Spectres: Last Days LP 6.50 euro
Spectres were originally formed in 2006 by Brian Gustavson and Steve Hanker in a small
town called Coombs, British Columbia. The pair wanted to experiment with peace punk
and post punk influences and made a few demos that were mailed out and given away to
various friends. Whisper in Darkness label heard one of these demos and expressed an
interest in what eventually became the "Cold War" 7". At this point Brian and Steve set
about putting together a band to start playing shows, and Heather Szilagyi (drums),
Nathan Szilagyi (bass) and Zach Batalden (guitar) were added to the band's roster. Not
long after Heather left the band and Steve Gerencer joined to fill in on drums, and this
line up went on to make the "Visions of a New World" 7" later that year. The band toured
to support this release in the spring of 2008 and Steve Hanker left the band after the
tour to persue other projects. Tyler Pilling joined shortly after to play guitar in Steve's
place and this line up has been consistently playing shows in the Pacific North West ever
since. The band's first LP, "Last Days" began when Spectres partnered with Felix Fung of
Little Red Sounds in January of 2009, working in multiple sessions through the next few
months to complete their debut full length album. The new record expands the song
writing skills from their two previous ep's to include some more angular writing abilies.
The vocals are more dynamic and overall better thought out. Being compared to bands
like JOY DIVISION and SISTERS OF MERCY is a hard thing to live up to, but they have
definitely taken those influences and molded them into something heartfelt and
profound. This release is being jointly released by Whisper In Darkness Label in North
America and Sabotage Records/New Dark Age in Europe.

Sabo39: Union Town: Blinding lights 7'' 2.00 euro
The ‘Blinding Lights’ EP contains three new Union Town songs that capture the band’s
shape anno 2010. The songs were written in the course of a year and were tested on the
crowd in different variations during live shows. Raw takes and jams were carefully
reshaped and re-recorded in cooperation with Mark van der Male, a friend of the band.
Enriched with the artwork of Mara Piccione, who also worked on Union Town’s debut
album, the EP will be released as Sabotage Records #34 in May 2010. Comes with a free
MP3 download.
Sabo33: Dramamine: S/T LP 6,50 euro
"Dramamine is a medicament that was converted into active drug usage by some
resourceful junkies decades ago. The effect can be described as some kind of escapism
into an imaginary world, or – in a positive sense –as some kind of introverted ecstasy.
This young band from Germany could be the soundtrack for these specific moods as of
now. Loud, noisy, then with a certain pop-affinity, minimalistic, but in the very next
second pretentious, doomy and oozing with pathos. A heavy, deep bass, which you will
not only feel through your ears; guitars, which you will find hard to classify; a krauty
drumming with an obvious love for details – all this put together with resentful, hectic
vocals, which will finally leave you asking for more. You’re going to realise very quickly
that these musicians have used the years they’ve spend in other bands to learn how to
communicate in their own special language – although the sound that we’re talking about
here emanates from a different awareness; this doesn’t sound like an intersection of
Press Gang, Idle Hands, etc. Here the instruments don’t get touched, they’re being
cleaved to. Experience it live or on record, afterwards everything will be quieter. It’s
2010, and you might think that the creative reservoir of noisy and drugged guitar music
has been exhausted for a long time now: Dramamine prove you wrong!"

Sabo30: Digger Barnes: Time has come lp/CD 6,50 euro
DIGGER BARNES is a German singer/songwriter, performer and sideman of Chuck Ragan
(HOT WATER MUSIC) and THE REVIVALTOUR, an annual traveling alliance of the North
American folkpunk scene, where he shared stages with Tim Barry (AVAIL), Ben Nichols
(LUCERO), Tom Gabel (AGAINST ME), Austin Lucas, Frank Turner, Jesse Malin and others.
With his debut TIME HAS COME he recorded a modern americana-album of great
diversity and with strong, dark vibes. Style, taste and musical understatement are the
secret ingredients of his very own gumbo out of folk, indie, gospel, rockabilly, pop and
country. Stories about loners, losers and shady characters of all kinds build the center of
the Digger Barnes World which has a visual counterpart in the paintings of PENCIL
QUINCY, Digger' s partner-in-crime for many years.

Sabo27: Team Robespierre: Everything's Perfect LP 6.00 Euro
Formed in Brooklyn during the winter of 2005, the members of Team Robespierre were
initially connected by their roots - having all grew up in similar punk rock scenes in New
York, Denver, Minnesota, Texas, Poland and Jersey, playing in bands like Thulsa Doom,
Morning Glory and Hipster Bloodbath. But as Rex, Tom, Ty, Mike and Jim got older their
record collections expanded to include noise, indie, electro and new wave among other
genres. All and none of these genres can be heard in their recordings or live shows. But
what comes across most when seeing these guys is their raw energy and unwillingness to
separate themselves from the crowd. With asound that melds the future and the past, the
Team brings back memories of 80s new wave and 90s hardcore, with the ability toshare
stages with bands as diverse as Dan Deacon, Japanther, An Albatross, LeftoverCrack,
Parts And Labor, Best Fwends, USA Is A Monster, Japanther and Kylesa. Having already
embarked on 3 tours in 2007, and recently enlisting a live drummer to add another layer
to their complex electro-punk arrangements, the Team felt the timing was right to record
an album's worth of material. With the help of Colin Marston (Orthrelm, Ghengis Tron,
Stay Fucked), Team Robespierre spent most of their summer recording an album and
playing dance parties.
Powered by a dirty punk rock ethos, synth hooks and programmed dance beats, Team
Robespierre has helped resurrect a Brooklyn punk scene that has been waiting to
embrace the raw energy of our nation's basements and late night warehouse dance
parties. With a sound that melds the future and the past, the Team brings back memories
of 80s new wave and 90s hardcore, and after IMPOSE owner Derek Evers saw them play
a show in the spring of 2007, he ended up so drenched in beer and human sweat that he
had to sign these guys – making "Everything's Perfect" the first official fulllength for both
the band and the label. Sabotage is proud to release the vinyl version of „EverythingチLs
perfect“ just in time for the upcoming European Tour in Oktober/November 2008.

Sabo23:Polite Sleeper: Seens LP/CD 5.00 Euro
Polite Sleeper is a folk punk mess and a story about starting over. Jason and Tim met in
San Francisco in 2002 and formed The Yellow Press, a Ye! Ye! hardcore/punk quartet that
also included Steven Chamberlain on bass. With releases on X-Mist and Day After
worldwide, they toured for over two years, opening for the likes of Against Me!, Xiu Xiu,
The Thermals and The Hold Steady before amicably disbanding in 2005 following one
final European tour. The downtime coupled with one messy break-up saw Jason leaving
California for New York, with Tim following soon thereafter. Together that winter they
recorded a handful of sparse, acoustic songs in Jason’s Clinton Hill loft space, dealing
with friends, lovers, substance abuse, and most notably not having a band
anymore.During that period the duo met Michael Curtes, who added piano to a few
unfinished ideas and the resulting session was quietly released as a five-song EP and 12”
in June 2007. The trio immediately pickedup where The Yellow Press left off, touring
Europe and both US coasts in support, and despite few expectations found a surprising
balance (and noted buzz) between their punk pasts and the hushed, introspection of the
new material.
Musically, however, Polite Sleeper is about doing more with less. From three-piece trap
kits to playing without a bass, the songs are as divergent as they are raw. Each a story
sounding as if John Darnielle was fronting the Microphones or a working man’s Xiu Xiu.
Keyboards, banjo and pedal steel might round out a few programmed beats or a piano
stomp, otherwise, very little is kept that can’t be performed live. And what started as a
bedroom project between friends finally coalesced with a proper full length written and
recorded throughout Brooklyn in 2007. More self-assured and playful than previous
efforts, the debut balances the whispered lullabies with the screaming sing-a-longs –
from country to folk to punk, it’s an authentic, earnest document of where three friends
ended up after landing on the East Coast with a new plan. But most important Polite
Sleeper is still a punk band. They’re 100% DIY, choosing to record in living rooms and
kitchens exclusively. They keep traffic noise and dead notes as reminders of that. They
stay true by playing to anyone who asks, and while the songs may be short, the
sentiments heavy, their riotous live reputation is a spectacle no one expects from an
acoustic trio.Look for Polite Sleeper touring in support throughout 2008.

Sabo22 Austin Lucas: Putting the Hammer Down CD 5.00 Euro
As many will infinitely attest, it is truly Austin's skillful and soulful homage to his country
and bluegrass roots that leave all listening audiences haunted with a stirring sense of
amazement. "Putting The Hammer Down" is Austin's second Album. On it, you'll find 8
songs harkening the rich heritage and tradition of great American country and folk music
past, rounded out by the strong DIY ethic and punk progressiveness that played a large
part in shaping both artist and label over the years. In the end, you're left with an album
that reaches across generational and genre lines in a way that few artists could ever
dream of or hope for.

Sabo21: Mönster: Out of Luck 7" 1.50 Euro
5 new tracks from berlinチLs most stupid punks. songs about love, straight edge, rebellion
and friendship. too smart to be meaningless and too funny to take themselves too
seriously. musically between rocking d-beat hardcore and lo-fi blues. some ac/dc riff is
thrown into there as well.
Sabo20: Coldbringer: Lust and Ambition 12" 4.50 Euro
"Eight song 12" EP. For those of you not familiar with Coldbringer, they feature members
of From Ashes Rise, Hellshock, Call The Police, the Del Toros, and Talk Is Poison. They
play a style of melodic hardcore that draws from influences like Naked Raygun,
Leatherface, Husker Du and the Wipers, but is all their own at the same time."I’ve been
getting a fair number of records these days with hand-screened covers and the LP has
some striking artwork. A stingingly melodic punk sound that sounds like a cross between
Born Dead Icons’ doomy sound with Leatherface’s tuneful properties. Vocalist John
Wilkerson (formerly with From Ashes Rise) has Frankie Stubbs’ timbre, albeit in a lower
register. I know comparisons suck but that’s the best way I can describe it. The people in
this band have played in more “crusty” or thrashy bands and this marks a departure
away from D-beat and epic qualities. A warmth along with the power and vigor.
Sabo19: The Now-Denial: Mundane Lullaby lp/cd 6.50 EURO
Finally, 3 long years after „viva viva threatening“ came out, the now-denial deliver their
3rd album „mundane lullaby“. And itチLs no surprise, it is a big step forward. They come
closer and closer to capture their live-energy on a piece of plastic. The sound is very
good, still dirty, but powerful and huge like a bulldozer, with love for the detail, which
makes it fun to listen to the record over and over again to smell the diesel and find
something new with every listening. Yeah, itチLs still a hardcore/ punk record, itチLs still
pissed off, but the limitations are gone. There is rock every now and then and it suits
them well. And itチLs good to hear a real 2nd guitar again. On top of 12 great songs,
varied in speed and mood, you get a well thought out lsd-influenced cover artwork with
rabbits and flowers and lyrics that are far away from your average punk-clicheチL, but still
angry and to the point. A record like a journey on the road to nowhere, armed with a
smile and a middlefinger up in the air, always pretending to have an insane masterplan
up the sleeve
Sabo18: Digger Barnes: My Name is Digger 2.50 Euro
The Ultimate Drifter`s Manifesto out now on Sabotage records.Digger Barnes' "My name
is Digger" is a great melancholic song that displays the singers writing ability and his
knack for melody. The song is cold and dusty like a lonely desert night; letting the
listener in on this very specific thought and memory. The song's chorus is catchy and
memorable and the beautiful stripped down instrumentation of just vocals, acoustic, slide
guitar, and a harp bares the soul of the song and its lonely, lonely lyrics. Bside contains
Digger`s Version of Social DチLs Reach for the Sky, played with some help from allie total
blam blam. The record comes again with a super nice packaging.
Sabo17: The Now-Denial: Viva,Viva Threatening LP Repress 5.00 Euro
This is the Repress of the second album from the Now-Denial wich was originally released

hardcore songs. Soundwise the production of this record is much better and more `` in
your face`` than on the first
record,

Sabo15: Polite Sleeper: "S/T" 12“/MCD 4.50 Euro
Polite Sleeper is the new folk punk, experimental side-project from Jason (guitar) and
Tim (drums) of The Yellow Press (Day After). Pretty crazy stuff at times, but the songs
are simple and sweet – all about missing one thing or another, about the new challenges
and new relationships since moving from San Francisco to Brooklyn, NY nearly two years
ago.
More important, PS is a punk band. They’re 100% DIY, choosing to record in living rooms
and kitchens, exclusively. They keep traffic noise and dead notes as reminders of that,
and stay true by playing basements and warehouses, even proper clubs where they don’t
quite belong, but take the chance at meeting like minds anyway. They believe it and you
should too. The forthcoming CD/EP from Sabotage retains the spastic live energy one
expects from The Yellow Press, but unplugs the action, turns down the volume and
shakes things to a more folk country tune. Jason and Tim tell stories now. They scream
and sing about drinking and missing one thing or another, and with the addition of a full
time keyboard player, the whole mess sounds like Xiu Xiu challenging the Mountain Goats
or Bright Eyes to a proper pub fight.
The band is currently recording their debut full length, due this winter with US
and European tours to follow.
Sabo14: Austin Lucas: "The Common Cold " CD 5.00 Euro
Mixing old time traditional american music along with contemporary indie influences,
austin lucasチLnew album „the common cold“ combines the best from multipal generations
of american roots music. With driven picking and beautiful vocal harmonies, this album
should be a breath of fresh air for fans of depression era country as well as those of lo-fi
acoustic indie music.born in Bloomington Indiana, Austin Lucas was taught how to sing
by his musician father Robert Lucas before he could even speak. at home or in the car,
his family would sing and make music. travelling thoughout the summertime to folk,
bluegrass and old time music festivals where his father would perform every year.. as
Austin became old enough to attend school he also was sent to the indiana university
childrens choir to hone his gift of singing.. although he would stay in this program for 6
years, perform in 3 opera's as well as dozens of classical choral peices; he never learned
to love or appreciate this music untill much later in his life.. when he was 12 he removed
himself from the choir and went off in search of louder and faster music.. it was in the
punk and hardcore scene where austin found himself and has remained for the last 16
years.. playing in crust and grind bands Rune and Twentythird Chapter as well as
technical punk outfit K10 Prospect..
Sabo13: Hero Dishonest: " When the shit hits the man " LP 5.00 Euro
Finland's hardest working and touring thrash unit, Hero Dishonest, has released its 4th
and by far the strongest album of its 7 years long career. After around 300 shows in
Scandinavia, middle Europe, UK, Russia and USA the band is tighter than ever and what
also sets it apart from the grey mass of today's hardcore thrash, smart in its song
writing.
"When The Shit Hits The Man" consists of 26 minutes and 21 tracks of raging hardcore
punk thrash that doesn't limit itself to just being fast at all times but also knows when to
slow down and to bring in the widest influences from the 30 years of punk history. The
band doesn't just speed up the old school Black Flag riffs but also nods its head towards
both old and new innovators like Big Boys and Wrangler Brutes. After 300 shows, 4
albums and 3 eps (If Society, Combat Rock Industry, 625 Thrash, LaチNjaチN Records, Sabotage
Records) the band marches on and is just finishing its second US tour and is getting
ready for European tour in spring 2007.

Sabo12: The Now Denial: " Obey, adapt, shut up and Die" CD 5.00 Euro
Infos like this bore me to death, like all this crap bores me to death. Fuck that. The thing
you need to know is: it’s a good, fair and healthy thing to like the now-denial. I am sure i
don’t have to tell you about the endless glorious, fabulous, not to say heroic stories of
this dirty bunch- only for the protocol: they are a five-piece with members of
blablabla...BORING. there is no need to tell you about this tracktorpullingdeathmachine
from BREMEN/ MUENSTER and BIELEFELD. No need to tell you that this CD is full with 19
songs and videos... that this is their compilation-cd which combines the the vinyl-only
releases of the split 7“es with SEEIN RED and HIGHSCORE, unreleased old material,
compilation tracks and evergreens of the last five years. Besides the well known
“a.c.a.b.”, “the exploration”, “viva viva” and “slaves” there is the hard to find vinyl only
compilation track “dusty gunslinger” and the unreleased “outward tolerance”, “shit goes
on” and “eraser demo”. All songs have japanese translations printed inside the digipack,
due to the split release between too circle rec. in japan and sabotage rec. in germany. As
a special bonus there are a couple of live feeds enhanched. We put some footage of the
draチNschfest 2004, the turn it down show 2004 (Berlin) and from the vienna “tüwi”show
2003.
Sabo11: Echo Is Your Love: "Humansize" CD 6.00 Euro
After 8 years, 3 albums and several tours around Europe, Finland's Echo Is Your Love are
back with their finest album. Echo Is Your Love was started in early 1998 in Helsinki by
four guys who met and were introduced to each others at the first rehearsals. The
guitaristチLs girlfriend became the singer. The intention was to practice as little as possible
and to record almost everything that comes out. After some 7"s and the debut album
("Sheets of Blank Fucking Paper" 2000) the band got bored of droning the same two
chords and being compared with Pardo Bond, Dead C and the likes. The band decided to
start rocking. With the 2nd album ("8 Hours" 2002) and tours around Europe Echo Is
Your Love ended up playing at punk/hardcore shows to almost 100% punk crowds which
made the bandチLs music tighter and more aggressive. On the 3rd album ("Paper Cut Eye"
2004) Echo Is Your Love found its own unique style of mixing hardcore aggressiveness
with no-wave guitar madness, post-punkdanceability with indie cuteness and pop
melodies.“Humansize” is a tight and unique mix of no-wave guitar madness, dreamy
indiepop melodies, hardcore aggression and danceable post-punk rhythms. Haunting
female vocals, sometimes angry, sometimes heavenly, wash over shards of guitar noise
and shuddering drums, like if the girls from the B-52s were invited to sing with the one
band that wants to save the world with its noise.
The album will be followed by a US tour.
This is not the same old same old.
For more information e-mail [email protected]
The album is a split release between If Society (Finland), Stickfigure (US), Run Out
Records
(UK), Unstable Ape Records (Australia) and Sabotage Records (Germany)
SABO8:The Now Denial: ``Viva,Viva,Threatening Cd 5.00 Euro
We are very happy to release the second Lp from these lovely rockers. The record brings
12 brand new harsh, pissed off hardcore songs. Soundwise the production of this record is
much better and more `` in your face`` than on the first record, combined with a really
nice 12pages layout, this record is a killer and a must.the now-denial started rehearsing
in early 2001 and played first shows in the summer. First planned as a project of
longtime friends christian, philipp, jens, soeren and hans to share the love for harsh,
pissed off hardcore/ punk, it soon became clear that it had to be more. so they recorded
for a benefit split 7" for the criminalized people of the genova protests against the g8
with their friends seein red. it came out early 2002 on tomte tumme tott. the many many
shows they played had the result that hans quit due to time problems and his
popstarcarreer. but the whole 5 piece recorded the first full-length "truth is on fire" in
may 2002 on scorched earthpolicy/ flowerviolence/ damaged records that came out in
fall. The now-denial continued as a 4 piece spreading their mixture of live-entertainment,
political agenda and a big fuck you all around germany, holland, belgium and austria. the
first bigger tour was in march/ april 2003 to france and spain with artimus pyle from
okland/ california/ usa. right before the tour another benefit split 7" came out on tomte
tumme tott records/ repulsive force (japan). this time with highscore and for the trial
costs of people of the gothenburg protests against the european union. the year 2003
has been the busiest for the band so far, because they went on tour in fall again. durango
95 was the partner in crime and they headed to greece, macedonia, bosnia, croatia and
austria. after that the preparations for a second album started. tons of shows and a small
tour with strike anywhere slowed down the process, but now, finally, the new album "viva
viva threatening" is out on scorched earth policy and sabotage records. the now-denial is
now working with a new second guitarist robin, who is hopefully ready to join the
tractorpulling deathmachine in november as a real 5. member. The Lp version is available
via scorchedearthpolicy.de

TAKEN BY SURPRISE:
SURPRISE 037 | NIGHTBIRDS:THE OTHER SIDE OF DARKNESS 6,90
At long last, New Jersey's NIGHT BIRDS deliver the follow up to their 2011 debut LP, "The Other Side of
Darkness." "Born to Die in Suburbia" delivers fourteen new tracks - refashioning the dark overtones, surf
inflections, and melodic sensibilities of their signature style without dramatically altering their core sound. The
result being not only their most diverse and accomplished collection of songs to date, but an output that is more
distinctly NIGHT BIRDS than ever. Rife with impassioned social commentary, tales of dysfunction and despair,
and lamentations of a culture in rapid decline, "Born To Die In Suburbia" is an instant punk rock classic for this
modern world on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
SURPRISE 036 | BIG EYES: ALMOST FAMOUS LP
The highly anticipated sophomore full length from Seattle's BIG EYES! With a solidified West Coast lineup,
BIG EYES have stepped up their game with a more definitive sound and unified vision. "ALMOST FAMOUS"
finds the band drawing even more of a hard rock influence, while maintaining both the pop sensibility and punk
edge that you've come to know and love. Taking inspiration from a wide variety of bands ranging from 70's rock
and roll staples like Kiss and Blue Oyster Cult, 70's and 80's power pop classics like The Nerves, The Shivvers
and The Undertones, and 90's pop punk bands like Scared of Chaka and Mr. T Experience, the trio continue to
develop their signature style - tastefully embracing the more glamorous aspects of rock and roll without
compromising the attitude and grit.
SURPRISE 033 | CHEMICALS: FOR REAL, FOR LIFE, FOREVER, OR WHATEVER LP 6,90 EURO
For people who’ve invested a lot of time and energy mapping the vast, complicated genome of the local punk
community, Portland’s Chemicals are something of a supergroup. Comprising members of Cyclops, Triggers,
Sleepwalkers, RIP and Straitjacket—among countless others—the band plays loose-limbed garage punk, free of
frills but not without surprises: Check out “No Reason to Stay,” from recently released second album For Real,
For Life, Forever or Whatever, with its basically two songs, with two different tempos, ingeniously fused
together by a ripping bass solo. It’s powerful stuff, sounding like the product of lifers who’ve been around the
dirty, trash-strewn block a few times.
SURPRISE031: THE CRY:S/T LP 6,50 EURO
THE CRY! is a music sensation emerging from the eclectic arts scene of Portland, OR. With heavy power-pop
influences like THE BEACH BOYS, EXPLODING HEARTS and THE SWEET, the band has re-crafted the 2
minute pop song for a new generation. THE CRY! effortlessly merges 50?s style vocal harmonies and the jangle
of 60?s pop hooks with the raw punkish emotion of the PDX street culture from which they come.

of 60?s pop hooks with the raw punkish emotion of the PDX street culture from which they come.
SURPRISE 028 | BLANK PAGES: S/T 7'' 2.50 EURO
After many delays it's finally here! The debut 7" by Berlin based BLANK PAGES. Members
were / are active in bands like IDLE HANDS, MODERN PETS, LIES FEED THE MACHINE
and DRAMAMINE. They pick up the torch from IDLE HANDS playing meldoic punkrock
with a certain WIPERS twist and offer 4 songs on this EP. Watch out for them playing

SURPRISE 027 | NIGHTBIRDS: THE OTHER SIDE OF DARKNESS LP 6.50 EURO
At long last, the debut LP from NY/NJ's own NIGHT BIRDS is finally upon us! Following
three well received 7" EPs, "The Other Side of Darkness" takes you on on a non-stop
demented thrill ride with thirteen raging blasts of high-octane surf-inspired punk that the
band has become known for. NIGHT BIRDS have pulled out all of the stops on this long
player; honing their hardcore/punk/surf/garage hybrid sound to near perfection,
delivering each and every song with urgent and unmistakable precision. With underlying
themes of isolation, paranoia, depression, visions of total annihilation, and more
horror/b-movie nods and references than you can count, "The Other Side of Darkness" is
the ultimate soundtrack to that post-apocalyptic nightmare that you just can't seem to
wake up from.
SURPRISE 026 | OUT ON A LIMB: DROWNED LP 6.50 EURO
GREAT first record of this band from Chemnitz/Leipzig. Complex groovy with wave-guitar
sounds and nice melodies and a lot of energetic post-punk influences like WIPERS, JOY
DIVISION and THE ESTRANGED. All records include a downloadcode. 300 pressed, 100
on red wax, I only have a few of them, so hurry up. The band and the release partner
NARSHARDAA also have em.
SURPRISE 024 |OBSERVERS: SO WHATS LEFT NOW LP 6.50 EURO
This is my favorite punk record of the last decade and I am more than happy to be
repressing it, artwork has been bumped up a notch, so this LP looks better than ever. If
you don't like this record, you shouldn't be listening to punk, maybe it's not for you.

their unique style even further. 2 new songs recorded on their last US tour in Chicago.
Housed in a beautiful screenprinted sleeve, finally available!
SURPRISE 022 | W.H.WALKER: DUDS LP 6.50 EURO
Who would have thought that a group of southern boys, now living in Portland, Oregon,
would uncover the future of doo-wop boogie pop, lassoing the soul of 1950 and the hooks
of 1970 and dragging those years through the dregs of punk into 2011? DUDS! is the
first full length by W.H. WALKER, 10 pop filled anthems featuring a cover of BOBBY
DARIN"s DREAM LOVER! Get squeeky clean and buy this record now!
SURPRISE 021 | MOTHERS CHILDREN:ARE YOU TOUGH ENOUGH 12''6.50 EURO
Canada seems to be the new fertile ground for smashing powerpop. MOTHER'S
CHILDREN hail from Ottawa, the same place as great bands like SEDATIVES, STEVE
ADAMYK BAND (who they share a member with), WHITE WIRES and many others are
from and keep making me go GAGA. This 6 track 12" is the follow up to their well
received THAT'S WHO! LP on DERANGED. Dirk Klotzbach from OX put it this way (I fully
agree!): I really hope that you all followed my call up from OX # 92 in the meanwhile
and have bought yourself a copy of MOTHER`S CHILDREN "ThatチLs Who" Debut LP. So
just to make it clear once again, there is no excuse ! The same as great as mentioned LP
is this follow-up 12" from the Canadians. Power Pop GlamチLnチLRoll driven to perfection
that should be spinning on your record player multiple times a day and that still is on a
par with itチLs musical archetypes. Take your personal hits from the first three Powerpearls
Compilations add it up with the two episodes of Killed By Glam, listen to "Milk & Alcohol"
and "SheチLs A Windup" by DR. FEELGOOD once again, donチLt forget your BOYS, STIFFS
and FAST CARS records and imagine you would be warped right back to the Seventies
where you would be seeing all those bands live on stage, because this is the moment
when you realize that you are dancing and beerspitting right in front of the stage of a
MOTHER`S CHILDREN show. Maybe youチLll even meet Noddy Holder or Gary Holton there
on your timewarp.
SURPRISE 020 | DEEP SLEEP – TURN ME OFF LP 6.50 EUROS
Baltimore's finest DEEP SLEEP with their 1st full-length LP. They've been perfecting their
dynamic blend of melodic and catchy hardcore-punk on their 3 previous 7"s on Grave
Mistake. As expected with this 10 track affair, the band revel in their posi-punk and
modest hardcore influences. Taking the pace of proto-D.R.I. and smashing it into hooks
culled directly from ADOLESCENTS and DESCENDENTS, every one of these tunes is a
rousing excursion into punk-rock's most formative days. Subtly instinctual, overtly
melodic and enduringly catchy, "turn me off" is equal parts relief in seeing DEEP SLEEP
continue their stellar output and excitement at having a new batch of catchy, upbeat
ragers to jam into our subconscious. 500 copies 1st press; all of them in a slick
screenprinted sleeve!
SURPRISE 015 | STEVE ADAMYK BAND – DESECRATE 7'' 2.50 EUROS
Steve Adamyk is the guitarist of the band SEDATIVES who I had the pleasure of doing a
7" with last year. He started the STEVE ADAMYK BAND as a solo project and the line-up
now includes Emmanuel and Dave from the SEDZ! This is their 3rd 7" following two great
smashers on P.TRASH and RED LOUNGE respectively and their smashing debut LP on
P.TRASH. 3 songs on this one now, if you need comparisons before you click on the buy
button, ok, I think this sounds like a mix of POINTED STICKS and THE BARRACUDAS.
Whoever doesn't like those two bands must feel no joy in life...
SURPRISE 014 | CANADIAN RIFLE - FACTS 7" 2.50 EUROS
In time for their first European adventure a new 7" by Chicago's CANADIAN RIFLE!
Jordan Atkins from their US label put it this way: "Following up their amazing LP last
year, this new EP has one of the best songs they have ever written (Blank Trade) and hit
it hard with two of the fastest songs they have ever recorded on the B-side." I have
nothing more to add. Only 300 pressed on black vinyl so you better hurry up and get it.
SURPRISE 013 | BLOODY GEARS - S/T 7" 2.50 EUROS
Their 2009 selftitled demo was a breath of fresh air, as the folks at MRR put it in issue #
315: "This band already has a sound that's their own, but likely draws from THE
OBSERVERS and LEATHERFACE,and there's something very Midwest about these songs
as well, making me think of early ARTICLES OF FAITH and HUSKER DU." I can also hear
Greg Sage's WIPERS in those songs. Now their first piece of vinyl sees the light of day. 3
songs of dark.melodic mayhem. 2 new songs and a re-recorded version of TAKE A RIDE
from the demo.
SURPRISE 012 | RED DONS - FAKE MEETS FAILURE LP 7.00 EUROS SOLD OUT
Doug Burns (Lead singer/songwriter/artist of THE OBSERVERS) has a new band, the RED
DONS, featuring Daniel Hajji Husayn, Richard Joachim Preinesberger and a rotating cast
of characters including Justin Maurer (Clorox Girls), Will Kinser (Born/Dead), Zack Brooks
(Soda Pop Kids) and Andy Foote (The Physical Challenge). Named after a group of
Cambridge professors that operated as spies for the Soviet Union in WW2, the RED DONS
continue where the OBSERVERS left off with added elements of Arabic themes in both the
artwork and sound. After the much lauded release of their debut album and successfully
touring the US, Canada, Europe, and Brazil, the RED DONS entered a Portland studio to
record ten new tracks. On this new album FAKE MEETS FAILURE (DERANGED RECORDS /
TAKEN BY SURPRISE RECORDS), the band successfully develops their unique style even
further. Coded lyrics about vagabond characters moving back and forth between the lines
of the current climate of fear and suspicion that has been brought upon the USA by the
war on terror. Again, consistent songwriting and a great production make this record
stand out among the current competition. Combining TSOL-like vocals, SoCal punk rage,
and the defiant melancholy of Pacific Northwesterners like the WIPERS this powerful
release rises above the stack of contemporaries that take on the early 80s punk sound.
No retro fashion hype, no flavor of the month.
SURPRISE 010 | DEFECT DEFECT - S/T LP 6.50 EUROS
Fighting their way out of the basement comes Portland’s DEFECT DEFECT with their best
record to date! After two quality Eps and constant touring, Defect Defect hit it just
perfect with their catchy-as-hell melodic punk style that hits hard with Colin’s spastic and
blunt vocal style with Adam’s excellent song writing. Tracks like Stolen Ground and Post
Apocalypse are perfect bookends of this argent and essential LP. Featuring ex and current
members of the Observers, Autistic Youth, the Minds, Clorox Girls and the excellent Arctic
Flowers this record will stick out over the pile of vinyl coming out in 2010. Do not miss
out on this exciting band!
SURPRISE 007 | MARVELOUS DARLINGS - SHOOT THE PIANO PLAYER 7" 2.50
EUROS
Their 7"s on DERANGED and WALLRIDE have been in my Top 10 for a long time so I am
really really happy to put this one out! Perfect pop music for the masses! The band's
mastermind is Ben Cook, also previously or currently active in NO WARNING, FUCKED UP,
VIOLENT MINDS, CRIMINALLY INSANE and also with his great solo project YOUNG
GOVERNOR! SHOOT THE PIANO PLAYER is a hella 50s groove smashhit and on the B-Side
the band rips on I WANT MY BRAND, a poppy punk tune executed in true DARLINGS
fashion!!
SURPRISE 006 | SUSPECT PARTS - MAN EATER 7" 2.50 EUROS
Fronted by JUSTIN MAURER of the CLOROX GIRLS and featuring CHRIS BRIEF of ehm
THE BRIEFS on drums, SMAIL from THE SHOCKS on bass and SULLI from RIPCHORD on
guitar, they deliver great poppy punkgems with a hint of 60s beat. This 7" is the follow
up to their great 17 TELEVISION EP on DERANGED RECORDS.
MAN EATER on the A-Side is one hell of powerpoppy anthem and on the B-Side the band
blasts through MODERN LOVERS' SHE CRACKED.
I can't be happier to have them on the label!
SURPRISE 005 | LOSER LIFE - FRIENDS WITH A DEMON LP 5.00 EUROS
LOSER LIFE are back with their 2nd full length LP! After several months of touring, a
handful of 7"s, a 12" and an album on MAGIC BULLET they have mastered their Chicago
meets DC by way of Bakersfield sound. This time some darker elements and a great
recording take things to the next level. An explosive mix that brings to mind bands like
ARTICLES OF FAITH, NAKED RAYGUN or BORN AGAINST. LOSER LIFE comes from a place
called Bakersfield, California, an area the band has numerously described as “the armpit
of California”. This is what LOSER LIFE is influenced by and the band's sound makes their
pleasant description seem all too realistic. LOSER LIFE is dirty, grimy, filthy and fucking
pissed off at their little hole in the world and the world in general. They play music with a
glass half-empty feeling with a glass overflowing the brim spirit.
SURPRISE 004 | LOSER LIFE - MY HELL one sided 12" 5.00 EUROS
Euro Repress as a one-sided 12" with silkscreen art on the flip and an extra song! On MY
HELL, the Bakersfield Four blast through 6 tracks of blistering hardcore punk a la NAKED
RAYGUN, ARTICLES OF FAITH, BORN AGAINST, etc. After a handful of EPs, an LP on
MAGIC BULLET and a few thousand miles worth of touring, it is clear that LOSER LIFE
have mastered their Chicago meets DC by way of Bakersfield sound. With lyrics focusing
on disconnection and the inability to function properly in a relationship without falling into
the realm of self pity, MY HELL is perfect punk music for when the skies are cloudy and
gray!!
SURPRISE 002 | THE OBSERVERS - DOWN ON TODAY 7" 3.00 EUROS
Lead singer and primary songwriter Douglas Burns along with longtime friend and Speds
band mate Colin Grigson formed the Observers. The intention of the band was to create a
new voice in music that was true to the traditional punk sound of the 70’s and 80’s while
remaining contemporary and relevant. The band formed in 2002, but did not play their
first live show until March 2003 after settling on their first line-up, which included Muslim
on guitar and Skeeter Joplin on drums. Together, this line-up recorded the “Down On
Today” demo. This record features 4 songs from said demo. Tracked in Colin's room and
mixed in Doug's this 4 track demo was first released on tape and then on CD-R. It was
only sold at the first shows THE OBSERVERS played. Tracks are: SHORT DAY, DOWN ON
TODAY, CAN'T BE SAD and STATE OF DECAY.
SURPRISE 001 | AUTISTIC YOUTH - LANDMINE BEACH LP 6.50 EUROS
Hailing from Portland, Oregon these 4 youngsters are influenced heavily by classic 80's
bands like the WIPERS or ADOLESCENTS but also more recent outifts like THE
OBSERVERS or THE EXPLODING HEARTS. On this LP they deliver 11 songs of anthemic
and heartfelt punkrock that will make you dance dance dance!

SA008:Nerveskade: S/T LP 7.00 Euros
The first full length from Portlands newest generation of young noise punks !!! Manic
Hardcore ala Lebenden Toten, Discharge, Confuse and Disorder !!! Brilliant Artwork !!!
For Punks Only !!!
SA006: P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S: Make it through the Night LP 7.00 Euros
Wow! Killer PDX punk rock. Their first LP after a bunch of 45's. All you need to know is
that this is some urgent punked out hardcore the way it is supposed to be played. They
have slashing guitars with pounding drums that rise out of the discordant noise climaxing
into a screaming rant. This is worlds above the other punk out there, being played by
folks who have lived it.Ex Detestation, Poison Idea etc...
SA005:Bellevue: Discography LP 6,50 EUROS
here is annother beautiful piece of punkrock outta Switzerland !!! This time it is the
Bellevue Discography Lp 1980 - 1983 Lp!!! Bellevue-Discography LP. Absolutly beautifully
packaged collection of the two 7"s of this essential Swisspunk band, some never before
released studio songs from the period plus three remastered but still raw live songs.
Includes innersleave with Rare pictures, History and Biography !!! Edition of 500 copies
only ! During the late 70’s Andrea Hofer and Jürg Grob began to meet for evening
sessions of noise at former “venues” such as defunct bomb shelters and parking lots.
These nights brought together a wide range of very unique and diverse characters.
Names like Marcel Hollenstein (Halle K, Nero’s Dinner), Christoph Hozog (Plaza), Turi
Meyer (Sperma), Astrid Spririg (Liliput, Neon) and many many others were also very
actively involved. When vocalist Peter Hefti joined in 1980, the name ‘Bellvue’ was
adopted. After a handful of shows Jean Bhend left and was replaced by Major Many of the
Rebells on drums. Bellevue consisted of former art-school students, looking for a new
direction and for those involved who weren’t, Bellvue was a reaction to the stereotypical,
chart-orientated music that was dominating the mainstream of that time. Bellevue sang
in German and English, lyrically dealing with issues such as government surveillance, the
army, drugs and genetic engineering. Besides a handfull of shows across Germany,
Bellvue predominately played in their home city of Zürich with the odd out-of-town
performance every so often. It all unfortunately came to an end in 1983 after the release
of their second 7”, Soldatenlied…
SA002:NOEM: S/T LP 6,50 EUROS
From the minimal artwork i was expecting minimal music: On the contrary, NOEM are
loud, dark and heavy. This EP contains four long, repetitive, grinding jams. Think later,
metallic BLACK FLAG with elements of NEUROSIS, and a German SAM MC Pheeters on
vocals. Powerful riffing, tweaked solos, and thight, pummeling ryhthms are the order of
the day. Think JESUS LIZARD meets PISSED JEANS. Noise Rock tar melting, desperate
harmful. Great stuff.
Erste Theke Tonträger Records
ETT 013: DERBY DOLLS: S/T 7''
3.00 EURO
The 4 new songs come with German lyrics and a solid early NDW background, but with an amazing sound! You
will love it! I don‘t know when this band had the time to write a new EP, because two of them are playing
constantly with Hysterese. Derby Dolls are always the best happy thing between sweet pop and early Neue
Deutsche Welle. With this new 4 Song EP they put some more snotty Midwestern Garage influences into their
unique sound and they often remind me of Something Fierce, maybe it‘s the excellent bass sound or just the
perfect songwriting?! The guitar lines are jangling and aggressive – but not in a testosteron way. And Helens
voice is doing the rest. The debut 12“ was sold out in a few months without the Derby Dolls having played one
show. You should buy one of these little vinyl jewels and grab your own copy, because this is another unique
piece of fine music, combining the power and the pop when it comes to punk.
ETT010: COLD CIRCUITS: S/T 7'' 3.00 EURO
Whatever these Bay Area guys secretly mix in their drinks, it seems to bring out an endless flow of brilliant and
catchy, yet distinctive songs – in each of their bands. I'm talking about the rhythm section of Synthetic ID with
the same guys of this awesome new San Francisco band! Ok, many bands try to do some kind of post punk stuff
these days, but in my opinion the Bay Area knows how to do it best! After Rank//Xerox and Synthetic ID, Cold
Circuits is the band to listen to right now! Robert Collins said: "UK post punk meets an angular cousin" and he's
totally right. There are similarities to Synthetic ID, even though this band is less focused on the vibe and more on
driving the listener. Lazy guitar lines weave in and out of logic, while bass and drums keep the whole thing
forward with an inevitably urgency. It sounds excitingly familiar and so new in skills and maturity, that you just
can't listen to anything similar elsewhere. What can I say?! Get it or not – this thing will explode, without any
doubts!
ETT008: Synthetic ID: Apertures LP
7.00 Euro
There’s a new best band in San Francisco. And this band plays a beautiful cacophony of raw, frenetic guitars,
fiercely pounded drums, and jerky yet oddly melodic vocals. Perfect timing and guitar damage reminiscent of the
Proletariat underscores a vocal delievery not dissimilar to the Observers but less operatic and more desperate.
Synthetic ID sound like Greg Sage, D. Boone, and Colin Newman fabricating the house band for the
International Space Station. Or better yet, spending three days in close quarters on an uncharted trek to the Sea of
Tranquility. Anxious paranoia dripping from the walls. It's jerky, derailed, and draws heavily from early postpunk, but chugs along at a classic punk tempo, blasting out totally agitated lyrics the whole time. Space
madness? Or just a need to escape the surface of this planet, even if it just be through the act of playing two
minute punk jams? Either way, it's exciting and different. This record is a tight, fuzzy underground treasure in the
waiting.
ETT 006:Sedatives:Teenage Runaway b/w Fascists 7" EP 3,00 Euro
Yes it is true! The Ottawa Boys strike back! After having given us the first 7''s and the Debut 12" im so happy
that they let me put out this new mind blowing 45! The energetic melodies that blast through every Sedatives
Song, are simple and mind blowing. This Canadian punk band from Ottawa has released their self-titled album
some days ago, and it may just be one of the best things that has ever been produced in the history of melodic
punk rock. The harmonizing vocals of the four Gentleman are the perfect balance of aggression and sincerity
while the predominant Bass, the Organ and drumbeats keep the motivating energy that drives their music. These
four Canadian gentlemen may be held responsibles for having written one of the best songs in ages with ''Slip
away'' but this two Songs are also just A - side Songs! Maybe we should mark both Labels with A - Side. The
Sedatives dared to go step further and once more set a landmark in the little mundo punko with this new record
that will shake your heart and legs!!! You will never be disappointed with this 7" - believe me!!!
ETT005: Vanna Inget - Jag Ska Fly Tills Jag Hittar Hem 7" EP 3.00 Euro
Vanna Inget is punk with pop melodies and melodic vocals. The inspiration for the album
is a jumble of Tant Strul, Pink Champagne, The Go-Go's, old Uggla, Haチ‹kan HellstroチNm and
Marked Men.
The album "Allvar" is filled with musical spontaneity without studio work with to much
choirs and guitars and the new EP will be hold this level. It should sound so sad and vivid
as possible. The album was recorded in guitarist Tommy Tift (Sista Sekunden) studio by
the band themselves, the EP too. I told you that the new EP is the same level, maybe a
little bit more sad and vivid and also amazing!
Everyone in the band come from small places around Smaチ‹land, Sweden and the country
rather than the town that inspired the band to this EP. But everybody in the band has
now moved to the big cities, away from the small town small mind syndrome.
Singer Karolina Engdahl sings with a passion of a rare luxury, anxiety squirts out of her
jaw. Bass player Johan Ottosson laid his bass with depth and with drummer AndreチLas
Almqvist and Tifts guitar; they receive a carpet of beautiful noise.
Band members play in or have played in such great bands like Sista Sekunden, A Good
Deed, The Confession, Speakeasy, Civilisationen, The Part Timers and Morsans Gula
Blend.
The band has a sound that Swedish bands like Masshysteri, Knugen Faller, Baboon Show,
Invasionen, etc. has conveyed the last ten years. Bands that have given punk a little
more melodic vein. Vaチ‹nna Inget have turned down the distortion and added some more
minor chords and vocal harmonies but the intensity, anxiety and the energy is there
anyway. Sort of like new wave that came after punk explosion in 1977.
ETT003: No More Art:Peripeteia b/w Evil Eyes 7" 3.00 Euro
The next Release on Erste Theke is ready! No More Art is comprised of people from
rather dissimilar backgrounds in music, but the elements are easy enough to lay out.
There are the surf-drenched guitars, the complementary female vocals, and the rock ‘n’
roll frenzy of X (Los Angeles), some of what has been brewing in Denmark and Sweden
over the last decades with bands like MASSHYSTERI / VICIOUS, and NO HOPE FOR THE
KIDS, but also with lots of melody and leads that is reminiscent of 80's LA bands like
SOCIAL DISTORTION and ADOLESCENTS, but with a unique sound of their own as well.
Lead singer Milo has been paying her dues for some years now as a singer song writer in
her own solo project ROSIE TIE. Drummer Juan Miguel has been busy on the heavier side
of music, playing guitar in bands like LOS DOLARES, ETACARINAE, and PELIGRO!, in
Barcelona over the past decade. Will has also done time in many bands over the past
decade with groups BORN/DEAD, DESOLATION, SUICIDE BOMB, DOPECHARGE, and most
recently Portland's RED DONS. Recorded by Dennis Rux at Yeah Yeah Yeah Studios and
mastered by RED DONS Hajji Husayn in a 80s sound that made you KBD fans out there
forget the modern world. Enjoy the first No More Art songs!
ETT002:Terrible Feelings:Blank Heads EP 3.00 Euro
TERRIBLE FEELINGS are four twenty-somethings from Sweden: Manuela sings, Anton
plays guitar and sings, Willy plays bass and Andy plays drums. Together they play
absolutely fantastic black angst-ridden power-pop and this is their 3rd - EP ( The 4 songs from the demo in a "new outfit" aka new recorded and mixed etc. ! ) Members of
the TERRIBLE FEELINGS play/have played in various other bands and projects, some
very cool, some not even good. The hometown of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS is MalmoチN, a
world-famous city for cool Punkrock- and Hardcore-bands like FY FAN, SKITKIDS,
HERAチNTYS, HAチ‹RDA TIDER, SISTA SEKUNDEN (Andy plays the guitar), DIPPER and SLOチNA
KNIVAR. The band TERRIBLE FEELINGS formed in the fall of 2009, and their basic
impetus was to do something that was thoroughly thought through and set them apart
from other punk bands in their town. The band once described their sound as チtsorta
DISCHARGE meets LOST SOUNDS mixed with surf-guitars and 80ies Swedish punkrock.
Or something. It's very melodic.チs Rob Seaton from Canada voted them チtAMAZING!!!チs
when his band STATUES shared stage with them in MalmoチN. Guess what. .. he’s right!
ETT001: Derby Dolls: Extreme Probleme 12" 6.50 Euro
After two split EPs here's finally a full length album from Tübingen's 4 head Powerpop
Combo. 8 Songs between Buzzcocks and Hans-A-Plast, sounding like the No Fun Records
stuff from the early 1980s. The mixed German/English lyrics shuttle between life doubts,
adapted subjects and people on the go, always with an irrestistible and beat-twitching
tendency to drag you to the dancefloor. You can describe Derby Dolls as "a pleasant
surprise" with "a weighty female lead vocal and wickedly tight bass playing". Now come
and check it out yourself! ( Review by Sabine Haydl )
PUNK/NDW. After 2 split 7"s here's finally a full-length album from Tübingen's 4 head
power-pop-punk and NDW combo DERBY DOLLS. "extreme probleme" contains 10 songs
in the vein of NICHTS, HANS-A-PLAST, IDEAL, NEONBABIES and BUZZCOCKS. They're
sounding like the good old '80s releases on No Fun and Schallmauer Records with a
modern, fresh hint. The upfronted female lead vocal totally reminds of NICHTS singer
Andrea Mothes. Limited edition of 300, handnumbered copies on black vinyl.
The Derby Dolls - Extreme Probleme 12" is almost sold out! Just 40 copies left. Be smart
be quick and get one of the last copies. Why? Here is the MRR Review:
Neue Deutsche Welle, meet snotty Midwestern Garage Punk. Derby Dolls manage to take
the instantly addictive sounds of bands like the SOVIETTES and infuse them with the
dance friendly hooks of german new wave acts like EXTRABREIT and IDEAL. Maybe it`s
the other way around, but not matter which came first in this equation, the result is
brilliantly written and undeniably good. Female vocals and smart lyrics sit on top of

HWR-036 KREMLIN - Will You Feed Me? 7" 2,80 Euro
New Toronto outfit. Five brandnew slaps recorded after their two devastating demo tapes from last year. Think
parts less distorted early DISCHARGE, parts TERVEET KÄDET with hints of Japanese noisecore mongers
SEXUAL or early SODOM as heard on ADK Omnibus.
HWR-035 SICKOIDS - s/t 12" 6,50 Euro
Punishing debut LP by one of the best new hardcore bands to come around in years! An unrelenting, dark, and
ultimately raging record that combines the brutal edge of a DIE KREUZEN mixed with the hardcore melody of a
ARTICLES OF FAITH. Yet this band sounds new and fresh and not attempting to ape past hardcore genres.
SICKOIDS have an incredible driving sound that is harsh but also has a intense controlled chaos. The rhythms
are fierce and hit with procession and are brilliantly matched with the chorus style guitar that hits like a knife in
the chest. This recording just pounds away at the listener and barely gives you a chance to breath. Tracks like
“My Curse”, “Psychic Cold War”, “Bleached Bodies” jump off the record as each song blurs into the next. This
dynamic three piece is made up of Vince and Rob from WITCH HUNT and Eric from GOVERNMENT
WARNING and DIRECT CONTROL. SICKOIDS are an amazing live band so do not miss your chance to see
these guys and pick this record up! Poster included!
HWR-032 BRAIN SLUG - Distort New York 7" 2,80 Euro
Ill debut 7" by a new outfit from NYC. This one will get you five nasty slaps in the face taking influence from
Boston classics like SS DECONTROL on crocodile.
HWR-030 OMEGAS - Blasts Of Lunacy 12" 6,50 Euro
Montreal-based, lords of slam-skank OMEGAS have to be one of the best bands in hardcore at the moment.
Their brand of anthemic hardcore gives devotion to their NYHC and Boston HC influences with a uniquely
snarky street punk attitude, all of which is filtered through a little crazy, making the title of their debut LP all too
appropriate. BLASTS OF LUNACY is twelve tracks of hardcore wizardry. This particular release sees the band
emphasizing their NYHC influences even more than on previous material. With this 23-minute LP, the band has
proven that it is able to maintain momentum through an entire full length and that their particular brand of overthe-top hardcore. 4-color cardboard
HWR-028 DEAN DIRG - Verpisst 12" 6,50 Euro

two band members. There is no one else in the band, and there won’t be in the future.
Since their beginning in 2008, Street Eaters have released three 7-inches, a 12-inch EP, and a full-length album
on the labels Plan-It X, Bakery Outlet, Starcleaner Dead Broke, and more. A new self-titled 12-inch EP will be
released in October 2012 by the German label Cut The Cord That…Records (home of Neon Piss/Hard
Skin/Synthetic ID/1981/more…), to coincide with Street Eaters’ first European tour.
Megan also plays guitar in Wild Assumptions, and used to drum for Younger Lovers and Neverending Party.
John sings for Fleshies, used to sing for Triclops, and played bass in Harbinger
CTCT 014 Kohosh - Survival guide 12” 7.- Euro
New peace/crust/punk band from Seattle with members of Agatha, Contravene, Creosote, Garmonbozia, and
Skarp. 5 powerful songs of female fronted melodic anarchopunk with cello strating where their previous bands
started and going into Preying Hands direction.
CTCT 011 Foreign Objects - mammonism / fable 7'' 3,50 Euro
Boston band featuring former & current members of LIBYANS, CONVERSIONS and AMPERE. The music is
simple, catchy and to the point punk in the Dangerhouse tradition, but the vocals are what really sell this...
incredibly unique and powerful, like Kathleen Hannah if she were really into "chavo"-era BLACK FLAG.
CTCT 010 Tiny Ghosts - alien in a box 7'' 3,50 Euro
New 7" by Germanys´ Tiny Ghosts! 3 new songs of Hüsker Dü, Wipers or early R.E.M. influenced post-punk!
CTCT 009 Vaccine - dead inside 7” 3,50 Euro
This new 7" by Vaccine absolutely shreds. Vaccine is a 4 piece hardcore supergroup from Western Ma. (USA)
featuring Will Killingsworth (Orchid, Ampere, Failures, etc),Matt Swift (Relics), Matt McKeown (No Faith), Joe
Shumsky (Glue, Think I Care). Dead Inside is Vaccine's follow-up to their 2011 5" Crimes In Blood. Dead Inside
features ten new songs of in-your-face, intense, venomous, no frills, blistering, hardcore. Vaccine tear through
these ten songs in a little over five minutes. Overall, Dead Inside is another stellar release by Vaccine.
CTCT 003 Neon Piss – S/T LP 7.- Euro
“Playing music is a challenge…if you want it to be good. If you want your music to mean something, then it
needs to speak to people the minute it hits their ears, and that is the challenge. NEON PISS have been crafting
their debut vinyl release for nearly two years, but you get the impression that this was an inevitable result - a
vision realized when these four dudes started playing punk together. Everything about NEON PISS sounds
familiar, you know how you are going to feel as soon as you hear the opening swagger of “Tabula Rasa,” and
they are every bit as good as you hope they are going to be. An LP full of songs that will make you feel instantly
comfortable - you might have seen this movie, you’ve just never seen it acted quite this well, and the production
this time around is sheer perfection. You are welcome to dismiss this as some more of that melodic punk that you
are too cool to admit that you like, but you would be a fool. Yes, the songs are catchy, and yes NEON PISS will
get stuck in your head and even sometimes put a spring in your step, but this shit is deep and these songs are as
close to utter brilliance as I can ever remember hearing.”
La Familia Releases
Bombenalarm/Armageddon - Split EP - 2.50 EUR
BOMBENALARM bring in two songs from the 1st LP recording session (recorded at Sonic Temple in
Mallorca). Euro HC/Punk in your face. On the other side we are happy to have our friends from
ARMAGEDOM. The Brazilian HC Punks from the first hour deliver 2 new songs mixing…
Bombenalarm/Dean Dirg - Split EP - 2.50 EUR
BOMBENALARM kick off with 2 aggressive midtempo PunkRock songs and DEAN DIRG take over to bring
in 2 songs of their amazing late 70s Punk and early 80s hardcore mix with a dose of garage. Only a few copies in
limited colored vinyl left!!
Bombenalarm - No Mistake LP – 6.50 EUR
11 new tracks of HC/punk. Blazing melodies, incredible power, outstanding vocals and a great sound and
packaging. This is a brilliant second full length of these punks.
Crude - Corner LP – 6.50 Euro
Hakodates finest are back and still the top of the league. On this beauty in the beast they recorded some raging
and rocking songs with blazing melodies on a 4-track to represent the rawness of Crude. 8 Sonx!
Deathtoken/Kyklooppien Sukupuutto - Split EP – 2.00 EUR
Kyklooppien Sukupuutto delivers the Finnish punk goods in a major way with straight up, raw, fast, distorted
hardcore. The Lyrics are bleak reminders of the world's current concrete-obsessed city life and the psychological
wars that rage in ones consciousness because of false realities. The EP is worth buying just to hear the band
chant their unpronounceable name at the end of their side. Deathtoken is the perfect counterbalance of this seven.
They play fast, raw hardcore but with a little less distortion and a bit more rhythm. Their lyrics deal with some of
the same issues as KYKLOOPPIEN SUKUPUUTTO, but in a more introspective way; add in a song or two
about war and you get the idea. "Chain of Rules/Chain of Fools" is the best I've heard DEATH TOKEN sound
and the lyrics are dead on perfect. Get this record if you care about hardcore; you won't find any better examples
out there.
Fucked Up - Dangerous Fumes/Fixed Race EP 2.50 EUR
This is the Euro version of the "Dangerous Fumes" 7inch but with another exclusive B-side track! Like all their
songs it is catchy riffs and outstanding uncompromisingly lyrics. A must. Now the 2nd press with shiny black
cover.
Gewapend Beton - Empty Batteries LP – 5.00 EUR
The first 100 copies coming in yellow vinyl! Gewapend Beton are a bunch of teenage squatter punks from
Amsterdam. They sound like a brilliant mix of 80s US/European hardcore, 70s pogo punk and the “UK ‘82”
sounds from back in the days. For some reference points – think Zero Boys, Poison Idea, Bad Brains, Black
Flag, The Partisans and so on – and where that’s often just embarrassing name dropping with most, they really
do pull it of! Besides some superb musicianship - these kids come with the required attitude, snottiness and sense
of humour.
Hellshock - Shadows Of The Afterworld LP – 6.50 EUR
Reissue of the 2nd full-length album from Portlands HELLSHOCK which first came out 2005 on BLACK
WATER/FERALWARD. Remastered by Frank SAW Bolz and repacked in a heavy gatefold with additional
artwork by Caroline and still the orig. frontcover by Mid. Shadow Of The Afterworld is a stunning masterpiece
of modern crust. It contains 8 killer tracks of crust-hardcore that sounds as if it were right out of the late ’80s UK
crust explosion! Powerful and dark anthems. “If you already love AMEBIX, DEVIATED INSTINCT,
DISCHARGE, AXEGRINDER, CRUCIFIX, MOTORHEAD, then add HELLSHOCK to your list of must
haves.” Mel Huges / Direct Hit Zine.
Hader Tider: Scandinavian Hardcore Insanity LP 6,50 EUR
Crime cities hardcore kingpins are back. Like always a destructive mix of Swedish HC and NYHC. Tough as
nails with youth crew breakdowns and mosh parts but with a good kang influence and great statements and
attitude. This record will make you mosh in front of your stereo. The record comes with great artwork from Erik,
an awesome 32-page zine with graffiti shots, packed in heavy cardboard sleeves this is as good as it gets.
LFRHC loves CCHC!
Herätys - s/t LP – 6.50 EUR
Swedish D-beat! The A-side was recorded in 2008 at Said Studio, and the B-side in 2009 at Sceleris by Matte P.
which also is an obvious choice of studio. Musically we’re talking raging swedish räpunk in the same vein as
Totalitär, with finnish vocals. There’s a slight difference in sound between the two sides obviously, but I can’t
really say that one is better than the other. They’re both great in their own way with the basic raw sound of the
A-side, and the B-side bringing forth some extra sharpness. A truly brilliant record that holds all the energy, dirt,
anger, sincerity… really everything I’m looking for in a record like this. This is a true testimonial that you don’t
need a huge thundering sound to make a powerful record – it’s all in the material. Music aside, is it even possible
to dislike a band that has a “pick your king” t-shirt design with Jallos face on it?
Herätys - Helvettiin Ja Takaisin EP - 2.50 EUR
This is blazing Svensk and Suomi Hardcore madness to the max. Six songs on black or on limited pink or purple
vinyl. The limited copies include an awesome screenprinted inlay! Herätys really deliver the Scandinavian
hardcore as it is ‘supposed’ to be and bring TOTALITÄR and old finish hardcore in mind. I just love it.
Herätys - Näen Punaista 7inch – 2.50 EUR
The hardcore maniacs HERÄTYS are back but only to say good bye and fuck off. After their ripping debut
12inch and killer 7inch they keep it up and bring you 7 more ragers on this 7inch. Sadly the farewell show of
SEEIN RED was also their last live appearance but on vinyl you can get a last fix of this absolute Scandinavian
hardcore superiority.
Idiots Rule - s/t EP – 1.50 EUR
This one rips. Discharge meets Negative Approach. After the well done 'Demo' these german smoking maniacs
went back to the studio and recorded a couple more songs for their debut EP. They deliver 6 tracks of
straightforward 80´s hardcore with political and personal inyourface lyrics. This one is angry, dirty and straight.
If you like the releases on No Way or Deranged Records you should give those german wankers a try!
Kylesa - Static Tensions LP – 6.50EUR
For fans of Baroness, Cult Of Luna, Isis and Mastodon. Static Tensions also sees Kylesa further progressing with
their songwriting, both in terms of the psychedelia suggested on the Time Will Fuse... LP and the sheer brute
force and memorable structures they’ve become known for over the course of their 3 albums, split albums and
EPs. The at times blackened death metal feel of Said And Done and the piano-laced, middle-eastern tinged
Running Red highlight this diversity of sound, yet at all times it remains distinctly Kylesa. The percussion heavy
Unknown Awareness is perhaps the most emotionally heavy tune the band has ever written. Comes with 8 page
LP size booklet!
Kylesa/Victims - Split EP - 2.50 EUR
What we have here is a killer intercontinental split 7" between two of the heaviest outfits on the planet: Georgia's
Kylesa and Sweden's Victims. 1 Kylesa song on here, 2 Victims songs, just the way it should be.
Manifesto Jukebox - Strain LP – 3.00 EUR
Their 3rd LP. Raging punk rock with fine melodies and intelligent lyrics from this Finnish punks.
Martyrdöd - Sekt CD - 5.00 EUR
Two years after "In Extremis" on Havoc Records, Martyrdöd release their new Album named "Sekt".
Gotenborg's Martyrdöd hits you like a freight train at full speed. They've been described as a black metalinfluenced version of WOLFBRIGADE and I can't think of a more accurate comparison. It's heavy and D-beatdriven yet retains a sense of dark/cold melodies. Total destruction! Political, social and personal thought are dealt
with in the lyrics. The CD contains 12 bonus trax: the long time sold out s/t LP on Plague Bearer Records and the
split EP with Sunday Morning Einstein on Instigate Records. 24 sonx of brutal metallic crust!
Mönster - Out Of Luck EP - 2.20 EUR
5 new tracks from berlin´s most stupid punks. songs about love, straight edge, rebellion
and friendship. too smart to be meaningless and too funny to take themselves too
seriously. musically between rocking d-beat hardcore and lo-fi blues. some ac/dc riff is
thrown into there as well.
Nightmare - Scatterraw LP – 6.00 EUR
Vinyl version of their 2005 on Hardcore Kitchen released LP. Full throttle Japanaese HC/Punk with political
great content. And believe me this band not only sing about stuff, they life it!
Nightmare - Refugee Of...EP - 2.50 EUR
New EP from this classic Japanese hardcore band and thankfully this time they left the saxophones at home.
Blitzkrieg HC the way that only the Japanese truly know how to do it.
Paranoia Keeps Crawling - Made To Be Broken LP – 2.00 EUR
They play dark mid-tempo HC somewhere between His Hero Is Gone, Zeroid and 80s US-hardcore. Three
people, a fat distorted bass, layers over layers of guitars, two fucked-up voices and a drummer gone mad - a
powerhouse among the crusty-noisy-HC genre. Very nice packaging and well thought of lyrics
Pedestrians - Ideal Divide LP – 3.00 EUR
One of the few truley original punk bands these days, Pedestrians prove their songwriting abilities on this new
eight song 12". Comparisons come and go from old Dangerhouse bands, Adolescents, old KBD-type shit, etc
because their sound is hard to describe and somehow has managed to appeal to hardcore punks, garage rockers,
etc. Fantastic lyrics and musicianship from real DIY punks playing their hearts out, not some major label
fencewalkers which seem to somehow be accepted in the complacent punk scene today. That honesty comes
through in the songs in which the power is undeniable. Bloodstains!
Pyramido: Saga LP 6,50 EUR
Another thrilling release of Malmös Pyramido. You get heavily-distorted sludge doom with brute crust/hardcore
influence here which sets them apart from most bands in that overcrowded genre. They are a force on vinyl and
even more live.
Skitkids/Nightmare - Split EP - 2.50 EUR
What a hell of a Split 7inch. Two great bands teamed up for the Japan tour and brought together 4 devastating
tracks to blow you away. Skitkids with their mix of scandinavian hardcore, crust and AC/DC and Nightmare with
a total assault. So lean back and enjoy LOUD.
Suicide Blitz - Ride The Steel LP – 3.00 EUR
This is pure Punk, intense, catchy, aggressive. 10 powerful punk smashers with a lot of hate. S.B. is an
ALLSTAR band which was based at that time in Sweden and Germany with the usual suspects Dadde, Andy,
138, Kelly, Jocke, Kenko and Cornelia.
Ursut - Dårarnas Paradis LP – 6.50 EUR
Ursut is a four-piece hardcorepunkband from Malmö, Sweden, and consist of members from a.o. Intensity,
Kontrovers and Project Hopeless. The band started out late 2009 and was soon to record a well recieved demo.
Ripping Scandinavian HC/Punk or D-Beat Punk Rock - 14 straight forward songs with a super tight and
powerful rhythm section, shredding guitars, insane throaty shrieking vocals and great lyrics. Completed by great
artwork from Steve/fartwork! “Dårarnas paradis” is straight on d-beat hardcorepunk with lyrics in swedish.
Victims - A Dissident LP - 5.50 EUR
"A Dissident" is the latest album from Victims, recorded by Linus Wiklund with assistance from Nicko from
Entombed. When the first chords of opener "Theft" interrupt the album's haunting intro, it's apparent that the
years under their belt have only allowed Victims to become even more charged. For nearly a half hour "A
Dissident" rages full bore from one punk/hardcore anthem to the next. Songs like "In Control", "We Are Not The
Future", and "Nowhere In Time" carry the kind of heavy hooks that most bands can only dream of creating in
their tenure. While "Broken Bones" and "Victims In Blood Pt. 6" are flawless examples of the classic
hardcore/metal crossover power that they are known for. Victims' unrelenting ferocity, unforgettable choruses,
and swedish quest for perfection has pushed the blueprint of their influences (Motorhead, Discharge, etc.) to a
new contemporary level. And with the release of "A Dissident", Victims have cemented their place among the
leaders, not followers, in today's true underground punk/hardcore scene.
Wasted Time - And So It Goes: The First Two EP's LP – 6.50 EUR
Contains the long time sold out “s/t” EP and “No Shore” EP. Wasted Time played blistering tracks of violent
raging fast and furious early 80′s influenced hardcore with an intense Poison Idea and Boston hardcore vibe and
they did it fucking brilliant.
Wasted Time - Futility LP – 6.50 EUR
The LP version contains blistering tracks of violent raging fast and furious early 80's influenced hardcore, quite
reminiscent of early POISON IDEA with a hint of boston hardcore influence ala NEGATIVE FX or SSD. You
know exactly what to expect...a nonstop fast and ugly hardcore mayhem. 180 gram vinyl!
Wolfbrigade - Damned LP - 6.50 EUR
Wolfbrigade - Comalive LP - 5.50 EUR

TTR18 - ◯ - Sea Of Black Trees LP 7 Euro
◯ isn´t just the letter. ◯ is the circle symbol and at the same time the name of this six piece band from the border
region (Belgium/Netherlands/Germany) around Aachen (Germany). the debut full length from ◯ brings sea of
humming sounds through ambient and post rock music which is composed as a story telling of a Japanese
suicide forest - 'The Black Sea Of Trees'. ◯ 's aim was creating spherical musical landscapes and taking the
audience to a turbulent musical journey
somewhere between ambient / postrock and of course guessing their musical roots in punk/hardcore.
The vinyl is packed between 2 paper sleeves which has the same artwork only the outter sleeve has a O shaped
hole in the middle of it.

Lara Korona - Land Unter LP 7 Euro
Finally Lara Korona report back! Almost no sign of life of these 4 guys from Dippoldiswalde in the last two
years. After the self released Demo-Tape in 2008 and the Split 12“ with Johnny Futuro in 2010 finally the new
album is released. Stylistically the band changed their sound massively. The 5 songs on „Land Unter“ are more
mature and progressed compared to older songs. Skillfully the band combines a dark and heavy atmosphere with
playful parts. To put this into a genre: Post Screamo / Post Hardcore would fit best. Intense and heavy, loud and
clear: „Land Unter“ sounds always familiar but surprising at once. The artwork comes in a stylistic black/white
cover. . A fine masterpiece record that combines of echoes, delays, some synthesizer, rage and a lot of emotions.
(for fans of: Isis, I Hate God, Gospel)
