Organizing Team Patron Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where ISME 2015 will be organized, is one of the premier institutions in India created as centers of excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, laid the foundation stone of the Institute on January 27, 1959. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance and renamed "Indian Institute of Technology Delhi" in 1963. The Institute has made a notable mark in higher technical education and research. It has been ranked very high among national and international institutions of higher learning. The Institute celebrated its Golden Jubilee Year during 2010-2011. IIT Delhi is situated at Hauz Khas in South Delhi, which is a landmark place in the colourful and chequered history of Delhi. The Institute campus with an area of 320 acres is flanked by the famous Qutub Minar and the Hauz Khas historic monuments. With many topographical features, imaginatively laid out with picturesque landscape, numerous buildings of various nature and stature, and clean and wide roads, the campus presents a spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty.
