Required Steps and Documents
 SIR - “Submit Your Intent to Register”: If you want to
come to UCI this fall, you must click on “Intent to Register”
to tell UCI that you are coming and pay the $100 USD
before or on May 1st!
 SLR – “Submit Your Legal Residence”: Please check
the IUPP Blog on or after Thursday, April 23 to find how to
complete SLR before or on May 1st. Do NOT try to
submit without our instructions. ***If you have a
green card, please notify your IUPP Advisor BEOFRE you
submit the SLR!

choose to live in one of our freshman dormitories
by submitting a Freshman Housing Application
before or on May 1st!
 Freshman Conditions: This is the contract
between you and UCI. It states ALL the
requirements you must meet to receive the FINAL
admission for this fall. All IUPP Students should
read this contract carefully!

 You will also need to submit a Bank Statement:




Must not be older than three months. For example, the deadline for
the Admissions Office to receive your bank statement is July 15,
2015, your bank statement cannot be made or dated
BEFORE April 15, 2015.
Must show at least $57,000 USD* on the bank statement.
 If you already graduated or will graduate this June, and you want to
take summer classes, your bank statement must show at least
$62,250 USD*
If you can only get a statement that is not in English, you will need to
provide an English translation.
The bank statement MUST be original. Copies will NOT be
accepted. It is okay if the bank statement shows a foreign
currency (RMB or CNY).
Receive an I-20 from UCI
You must submit your
OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL
(9TH – 12TH Grade)
Transcript(s) BEFORE

TOEFL 80+ or IELTS 7.0
AND SAT scores to UCI

Your IUPP Advisor does

Additional Required Steps and Documents
 Submission of Your Academic Records:

Your middle school (9th grade) and high school (10th –
12th grade) transcripts.
Must be official, meaning the transcripts must be inside a sealed
“school” envelope; and
 Must have the school seal or stamp on the transcript!


Your high school graduation certificate or diploma
Must be official;
 Must have English translation;
 If you do not have a copy of your official graduation certificate with
English translation, you can show your original diploma to the
Admissions Office, but they may keep it for few weeks!

Additional Required Steps and Documents
 IUPP Transcript: You must provide a copy of your official IUPP
transcript to UCI. So, please make an appointment to see your IUPP
advisor to request a free copy to send to UCI Admissions Office.
 SUMMARY: Things you must complete with your IUPP advisor BEFORE
JUNE 12:
 A copy of your UCI admission webpage saying that you are
admitted
 Your bank statement
 Your CFS form AFTER you complete the steps on your “My Admission”
website
 Your high school (9th-12th) transcript(s)
 Your high school graduation diploma WITH English
translation
 Your IUPP transcript request form – We have the form in the office.
PROVISIONAL ADMISSION
 Continue to do well in your ALL classes! Any poor grade
(e.g. D or F) will result in rejection and failure to
graduate from IUPP later!
 UCI may mail the official admission letter to your
permanent address in your home country. Just ask your
family to keep the mail for you!
 If you want to take Summer Session after you graduate
from IUPP, you must decide quickly to be able to
receive the UCI I-20 and register for the classes
early!
 If you want to leave IUPP early, sorry, we cannot
transfer you to UCI.
You must pay attention to this!!
 IUPP Graduation Requirements: You must meet all of
the following expectations





Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all classes, credit and non-credit,
throughout the program;
Successfully complete, with a final course grade of C or higher, at least
two UCI undergraduate classes; No failing grades in the final quarter;
Successfully complete and pass the IUPP Undergraduate Preparation
Seminar (UPS);
Attend at least 80% of the class time in any given quarter (for students
on academic probation, the number of hours allowed absent is limited
to 20); and
Demonstrate acceptable student conduct throughout the program and
not violate any rules that might lead to failure of maintaining the F-1
visa.
You must pay attention to these dates!!
 May 1 – Submit your SIR and SLR. Also, submit your
freshman housing application if you want to live on campus.
– No exceptions!
 June 1 – Deadline to change your major; No Business, Bio
Sci, and Engineering
 June 12– Last Day to submit ALL your paperwork to your
IUPP advisor to help you transfer to UCI; Register for your
summer classes;
 June 15 – MUST attend the UCI International Programs
Orientation – More information will be e-mailed to you after May 1st.
 June 17– MUST attend the IUPP UCI Advising Session! More
information will be e-mailed to you after May 1st.
You must pay attention to these dates!!
 June 22 - July 29: Summer Session I
 July 15 – UCI must receive all the official documents from
you (e.g., test score reports, high school transcripts, IUPP transcript,
bank statement). – No exceptions!
 August 3- September 9: Summer Session II & Freshmen
Summer Start Program
 September 15 by 4:30 P.M. (local California time) – Pay your
tuition and fees ($$$) to UCI on your ONLINE ZOT
ACCOUNT; Do NOT send the money to IUPP. If you miss this
deadline, all your of Fall 2015 UCI classes will be dropped,
which may cause you to lose your visa status.
 September 24 – First day of Fall 2015UCI classes; Please
return BEFORE this date!
