Dear Ivy Hill Elementary School Community,
We are growing! We are excited to share that we will be constructing
an addition onto our school! There are many details to work out, but
we wanted to share the current plans with our community.
Attached is a DRAFT footprint of the planned addition. The light blue
area designates the current Ivy Hill structure.
• The items in orange are new classrooms. You can see in this
drawing that we will be adding classrooms on the main floor
and on the 2nd floor.
• The area in red shows an extension of our current commons /
cafeteria space.
• The area in purple is a new gymnasium.
• The areas in yellow designate new hallways or entryways.
Construction will likely begin in September 2015 and continue
throughout the 2015 - 2016 school year. Our timeline includes a
completion date in August 2016.
We want to be good neighbors. Therefore, we plan to provide you
with updates throughout our project at Ivy Hill. We, also, welcome
your input as we finalize the plans for our expansion as well as
throughout the project. Please feel free to contact either of us with
your questions or comments.
