Baby Shower for 1/5’s New and Expecting Mommies
OHH Baby Shower Mission:
To pamper new and expecting military mommies while mommies while
their husbands (with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines) are deployed serving our country.
Imagine the joy, excitement, anxiety and the hormones of pregnancy….add to that the
stress related to having a loved one deployed. Our military’s warrior mommies-to-be often
endure the ups and downs of pregnancy alone and miles away from family. This is precisely
why OHH Baby Showers work to unite new and expecting mommies during deployment. An
afternoon of pampering, lunch, games, photography opportunities, access to medical professionals, baby gift baskets and raffle prizes are just a part of the day planned to celebrate
and thank these mommies-to-be.
OHH Baby Shower Details
Sunday, June 26th from 12:00PM—3:00PM on Camp Pendleton at the 1st CEB (barracks)
Multi-purpose room. Childcare will be located at the RIF Building.

Too busy to shop? Send us a monetary donation and we will do the shopping for you!
Volunteer your time and talents. We love handmade gifts!
Donate much needed larger baby items (highchairs, strollers, car seats, swings, bouncers, pac n’plays, etc.)
10. Donate gift cards for our guests to use toward their baby registries at Target and Babies
‘R Us.
Operation Help A Hero is a tax exempt 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Your donations are tax
deductible. Cash/check donations can be made out to OHH and sent to us at P.O. Box 80996,
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 or email us for donation pick-up. We also accept online donations at www.operationhelpahero.org. Thank you for your support!
Adopt a Mommy-To-Be - Gift Basket List
You will be assigned a mommy/baby, specifically a boy, girl or unknown gender
(1) Laundry Basket - To hold all the goodies*
(1) Pkg of wash cloths
(1) Multi-pack onesies
(1) Pkg of hooded towels
(3)Outfits of various sizes
(1) Pkg of burp cloths
(1) Baby blanket
(1) Diaper bag
(1) Multi-pack receiving blankets (2-4)
(1) Bottle brush
(1) Pacifier Pkg
(1) Toy
(1) Teether
(1) Baby/children’s book
(2) Nursery/grooming care items, such as sham- (1) $25 Gift Card - Target, Walmart, Bapoo, diaper creme, lotion, brushes, bottles, etc. bies 'R Us
(2) Items of your choosing: we recommend things like photo albums, parenting books,
stuffed animals, small decorative accents, frames, bath toys, music, etc.
*We recommend using the Sterilite Ultra white square 53 Liter laundry basket as your gift basket
container to be consistent (available at Target).
We will be collecting donations and assembling gift baskets:
~Saturday, June 25th from 9am-noon at the RSM Belltower Center
*We will provide tax receipts, a checklist and all wrapping materials when the gift baskets are
delivered. We will have volunteers on hand to help with wrapping/assembly.*
