Special acknowledgements/accomplishments/issues/concerns:  Four seventh grade St. Peter’s students won honors in the Carl Junction Literary and Visual Arts Contest this past week. Blair Taylor and John Tran won awards in the visual arts categories, and Elizabeth Motazedi and Hannah Hilsabeck won awards in the literary categories.  Maddy Szell and Gliza Damaso both placed in the Joplin Chamber of Commerce Essay Contest. Maddy placed third in the city with a cash prize, and Gliza placed in the school competition. 4. Teacher accomplishments/acknowledgments:   Mrs. Pettyjohn took all 6th graders to the Joplin Globe for a field trip last Friday. Mrs. Minor, Religion teacher, has an 8th grade retreat planned for April 29th at Sacred Heart. 5. Building/Grounds Updates: 6. General Comments:   St. Peter’s 8th Grade Graduation will be Tuesday, May 12 at St. Peter’s Church at 7pm. Our school play, “Fairy Tale Network,” directed by Lisa Green, will be performed Friday May 15 in the MPR at 7:30pm
