etal top parts are finely machined
from solid aluminum. After
machining, parts are cleaned and
prepped for powdercoating. Powdercoating
is an environmentally friendly coating
alternative to traditional wet coatings that
offers superior performance. Powder is applied
electrostatically. Then the parts are baked in
an oven to form a
tough long lasting
finish. No harmful
solvents are used in
the process.

Although we offer
four standard colors
Metal parts prior to coating of silver, dark
chrome, clear gold, and pewter, just about any
other color can be custom ordered.
W
oods are offered in four main
varieties including walnut, cherry,
curly maple, and cocobolo. Other
woods can be ordered by special request.
The wood choices can be used in a variety
of ways in designing your edge binding or
center inlay choices. Typically you will want
to create contrast with bindings and inlays.
For example, using walnut edge binding with
curly maple will make a stronger contrast than
cherry with curly maple.
After your guitar stand is fabricated, it is fine
sanded to prepare it for the finishing process.
First, tung oil is applied to seal the wood
and bring out the beauty of the grain. Then
multiple coats of shellac (a natural finish) are
applied to further seal the wood and create a
satin lustre. Fine furniture wax is then applied
to bring out and protect the final finish.
