machine(s) will still process all existing currency, and you’ll be
ready to go when the new bill is released.

Do not insert or remove flashcard with machine powered ON.
Always turn the power OFF prior to initiating installation.
Upgrade flashcards must be matched to the appropriate
JetScan model for the installation to be performed. (See “How
to verify that you have the correct flashcard for your JetScan
currency scanners” on page two of these instructions.)
If the message shown below appears in your display, proceed to
the next step. If a different message appears, go to the “Help!”
section on page two of these instructions.
PROGRAM TRANSFERS REMAINING – # indicates the number of
upgrades remaining on the card.
Instructions
1.Locate the power switch on the back of the unit and turn power OFF. (O)
2.With green side facing up, carefully insert about 1” of the flashcard into slot on the back of JetScan as shown, until the card resists further insertion.
4.Begin upgrade by pressing the “CONT” key once as indicated on the display.
Do not remove card until upgrade is complete and the
PROGRAM COMPLETE - REMOVE FLASH CARD message
is displayed. Always turn power OFF before removing the
flashcard from the machine.
3. With card inserted, turn power ON. (|)
When the above message appears, proceed to Step 5.
5.Turn power OFF and remove
flashcard. Apply the upgrade
label supplied to the back of the
unit, above the flashcard slot.
6.After removing flashcard, turn power ON. Your JetScan is ready to operate and process the new $100 bill.
7.Repeat the above steps for any additional JetScan two-pocket machines you are upgrading.

pre-addressed, postage-paid
envelope provided. Thank you

How to verify that you have the correct flashcard for
your JetScan currency scanners
Follow the instructions below to verify that you have the correct
flashcard to install upgrades on your JetScan two-pocket scanner.
1.Locate the power switch on the back of the JetScan unit and turn it OFF (O) – see photo on page one.
2.Power the JetScan unit ON (|) again. For approximately three seconds, the program version number appears above the word “INITIALIZING.” Write down this number.
3.Match the number from the display to the corresponding
number on the flashcard, as shown in the example below.
Repeat these steps as necessary to determine the correct
program version number on each JetScan unit.

indicated for successful installation?
