Typical of Porsche
The world of fascinating vehicles is the sphere of our everyday
work. Three important numbers represent this concept in the
eyes of many automobile enthusiasts: 911. The icon among
sports cars reached a landmark 50th anniversary in 2013 and
the 911 of today looks more appealing and modern than ever
before. We develop vehicles for the heart and for the mind.
When we launched the Panamera S E-Hybrid and the 918
Spyder last year, we once again proved our potential to
perform in the premium segment. Porsche has created a
success story by using plug-in hybrid technology to combine
the driving performance characteristics of a sports car with the
consumption values of a compact car.
Only a team of highly motivated employees enables us to put
successful and technical innovations like these on the road. Our
aim as an appealing employer is to give them access to

readers about the areas and aims of sustainable action at
Porsche. The report will provide you with an overview of where
we currently stand and where we want to be in the future.
Much Has Been Achieved Already
We have many different stakeholder groups and we asked them
about their perception of the main tasks and challenges for
sustainability management at Porsche. The results of this
survey can be found in our report.
Our track record already posts many milestones of
achievement on the road to sustainable action and business
practice. Sustainability involves our vehicles, our employees,
our sites, and our position within society itself. In accordance
with our culture at Porsche, we are not satisfied with the status
quo, we want to do even better. We will gradually implement
our ambitious sustainability targets in a specially developed
program of measures.
Finding the Right Balance
A high level of acceptance can only be achieved for our
company and for our products if we remain open to
developments within the community at large. A central function
for Porsche is to maintain a consistent balance between
economic objectives, environmental concerns, and social
engagement. The strong growth of our company turns this into
a real challenge. We have therefore developed clear
benchmarks and controlling instruments, for example in the
form of sustainability indicators.

Porsche teams with EA to offer video gamers a virtual ride in
the new Cayman GT4
The engine, chassis, brakes, and aerodynamic design of the
Cayman GT4 are configured for maximum driving dynamics
while retaining the versatility and everyday utility that are typical
of the two-seater Porsche coupe. Powered by a 385 hp
3.8-liter flat-six engine derived from the 911 Carrera S engine,
the Cayman GT4 transmits its power through a six-speed
manual transmission with dynamic gearbox mounts. Zero to 60
mph is accomplished in 4.2 seconds; its top track speed is
183 mph. The chassis - which features a 30 mm lower ride
height and a generously sized brake system - consists almost
entirely of components from the 911 GT3.
How EA will translate that into its Real Racing 3 game is
something for gaming enthusiasts to experience. Players can
earn the Cayman GT4 for free and make it a permanent part of
their collection by completing a set of challenges.
Porsche has partnered with video game publisher Electronic
Arts to include the new Porsche Cayman GT4 in EA's update for
its popular mobile game Real Racing 3 in 2015.
Real Racing 3 is a popular free-to-play driving simulation game
that is one of the top downloaded racing games. According to
the ThinkGaming site, which reports game revenue and use,
Real Racing 3 has nearly 600,000 daily active users.
That presents a major platform to boost the debut of the
Cayman GT4, which Porsche officially announced in early
February.
The Cayman GT4 is the first Porsche GT sports car based on
the Cayman and features components of the 911 GT3.
Clocking a lap time of 7 minutes and 40 seconds on the North
Loop of the Nürburgring, the Cayman GT4 earns the same lap
time as the 2011 911 GT3 and positions itself as the new
benchmark atop its market segment.
"The Cayman GT4 clearly demonstrates Porsche's dedication
and passion to continue to promote truly industry-leading
two-door sports cars in the future - sports cars that are
developed at the Motorsport department in Weissach," said a
Porsche spokesman in the official announcement.
