Digital Photography: (4th - 7th) This Class is designed to
introduce students to digital cameras and the
components of it. Each student will have the opportunity
to create his/her own scrapbook and learn to crop and
enhance selected photos.

NOTE: If you are interested in Child Care, please
fill out the attached form. Hours will be
7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Dance/Movement: Exploration of several dance styles ballet, modern, jazz, creative, ethnic and folk. For
beginners/inexperienced to intermediate level students.
Focus also on music appreciation and performance with
costumes and several dance routines.

Creative Writing: (4th - 7th) Our Creative Writing class
offers innovative creative writing activities that keep
writing fresh and fun for students. It enhances their skills
and develops a sense of imagination.

Crafts Galore: Study a variety of crafts using different
techniques and your imagination! (i.e. using every day
products, nature)
___Drawing II
Full day camp $425.00 for six classes (all
materials included). $125.00 deposit
(non-refundable) is due with Registration Form
by May 15, 2015. Balance MUST be paid on or
before May 25, 2015. After May 25th you must pay
by money order. No cash accepted at any time.
Cooking: How to create snacks, small meals, and learn
good nutrition at the same time. The use, function and
safety of kitchen appliances will be explored. All
materials provided and they can eat their masterpieces
and their mistakes.

Half day $220.00 for three classes (all materials
included). $100.00 deposit (nonrefundable) is
due with Registration Form by May 15, 2015.
Balance MUST be paid on or before May 25, 2015
Chess: Learn the fundamentals one needs to become a
great Chess player. This includes the board itself, pieces
and basic strategies. They will also learn about the history of Chess along with some current events occurring in
the Chess world.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS (continued):
Drawing II: (4th - 7th) For students who have taken
drawing classes previously. Drawing II will use
methods of right brain studies as a focus. Drawing will
include a combination of mediums including charcoal,
pen and ink, and graphite as well as others. Students
will be pushed to their creative extremes in
multi-media explorations.
Jewelry Making: A course in the design, construction
and techniques used to make earrings, necklaces,
pins, barrettes and bracelets.
Karate: Learn the basic moves and fundamentals.
Music/Chorus: Orientation to aspects of music,
exploring sounds of instruments and fundamentals of
music structure. Hands - on related activities and
chorus.
Painting: An introduction into the techniques/theory
of mixing colors. Students will use tempera paint and
other mediums in their discovery of color and painting
designs and objects.
SUMMER
ARTS CAMP

WESTBANK CAMPUS
Play Production: From painting and drawing scenery
to scripting. Play Production involves all the elements
of putting on a play. Participants will perform their
play for students and parents at the end of the camp.
Sewing: Learn the Art of sewing for beginners using
learning tools such as patterns, fabric and
measurement.
Soccer: Learn the fundamentals of soccer.
Woodworking: (4th - 7th) How to handle tools safely in
the workshop and introduction to how tools work.
Students will construct several simple projects. For
the beginning woodworker.
A unique three-week program offered by the
Jefferson Parish Public School System and
Title I for 2nd - 7th graders. Classes in visual
and performing arts, dance, pottery and
woodworking skills are taught by
professional artists. Private and parochial
school students are welcome.
