HUNTINGDALE JUNIOR TOURNAMENT - CONDITIONS
1. Entrance fees ($22.00) must be paid at time of entry.
2. The event is to be played over 18 holes stableford and is open to Amateurs who are members of an affiliated
Golf Club, have an official handicap and are under 18 years of age as at 7 April, 2015. The Match Committee
shall have the right to refuse any entry of any person without being requested to give any reason for such
refusal. An approved handicap is compulsory.
3. The field will be limited to a maximum of 40 males and 40 female participants (80 players in total) or of a
composition at the discretion of the Match Committee. Should it be necessary to limit the field, ballot will be
decided on receipt of entry.
4. The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by R&A Rules Limited,
together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition rounds are being played.
If any dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the Match Committee whose decision shall be final. In
addition, all players are required to adhere to Golf Victoria’s Code of Conduct for the duration of the
Tournament.
5. The Match Committee will have full power to make any variation in the Conditions should they deem it
desirable or necessary.
6. The Match Committee may, in the event of bad weather, or for any other reason, either cancel the event,
shorten the event or fix another day for play.
7. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by Golf Australia count back.
8. The use of distance measuring devices is permitted, however, players are NOT permitted to use distance
measuring devices that are designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play (EG:
gradient, wind speed, temperature etc) regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
Any player found in breach of this condition is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification.
9. Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group
preceding them. Any group with a clear hole in front of them will be considered out of position. Penalties will
be issued to individuals in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay. Warnings may not be issued
prior to penalties.
10. The draw will be available on the Club website www.huntingdalegolf.com.au by Friday 27th March, 2015
11. The data contained on an entry form submitted by an entrant for the event is permanently retained by
Huntingdale and may be used for promotion of future events. During the tournament, players may have their
photo taken which may be displayed on the website and other promotional material. Any player not wishing to
have their photo displayed or their details retained should inform Huntingdale.
12. Neat golf attire (NO denim, NO cargo pants/shorts) and non-metal spikes are compulsory on course. Golf or
neat casual (No Denim, No Cargo pants/shorts) attire is required in the Clubhouse. Players should refer to
Huntingdale’s dress regulations which is on the website.
