8th Grade Banquet Information & Permission Form The 8th Grade Banquet committee is excited to invite you to the KIS 8th Grade Banquet. Please look over the following information concerning this memorable event. When: June 2, 2015 Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Where: Officers’ Club at Marine Corps Base Hawaii Cost: $35.00 (cash only) includes food, bus fare, and entertainment. Money and permission form due by May 5, 2015 to Rm. 210 or Rm. 216. Menu: Italian Buffet with salad and assorted desserts Dress Code Ladies: Dresses ➢ Must be no shorter than halfway down thigh ➢ Must have at least 1 inch strap (no spaghetti straps, or strapless) . Dresses may have spaghetti straps if the dress has a sheer float or overlay, but this must not be removed, The dress must not be sheer at the midriff or be below the midback section. Skirts ➢ Must be no shorter than the length of your fingertips half way down thigh ➢ No denim ➢ No visible undergarments Pants/Slacks ➢ No denim, no holes or tears. or frayed material Tops ➢ Must have at least 1 inch width straps (no spaghetti straps or strapless) ➢ All tops must cover midriff. Shoes ➢ Sandals, heels, flats, & dressy slippers are permitted Gentlemen: ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ Shoes ➢ Slacks or khaki pants, no jeans, no short pants No rips, frayed hems or tears No visible undergarments Collared shirts: button down shirts, polo shirts, no T-shirts of any type Must be covered dress shoes ALL : No hats, shades, or visors NOTE TO PARENTS: Dress code will be strictly enforced and teachers will be checking student attire before we leave campus. Those who are not in proper dress code may not attend the banquet and will remain on campus for the rest of the school day. Parents, please check your students attire before sending them to school. Identification All students attending the banquet will be expected to present their school ID card when boarding the bus. The chaperones will collect the IDs from the students as they board the bus to the banquet and they will given back to them as they board the bus back to school. Cell Phones Cell phones may be used as cameras, but KIS will not be responsible for any lost or damaged phones. NO PHONE CALLS OR TEXTS ARE ALLOWED DURING THE BANQUET . Cameras Students will be permitted to bring and use a camera at the banquet. However, the students are responsible for their own personal items and the school will not be responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items. Rules for attending the banquet ➢ Chapter 19 and KIS school rules will apply to all students during the banquet. Failure to comply will result in the student being removed from the facility. ➢ In order for students to participate and attend the banquet, they may not have more than one class A or B offence or more than 2 class C or D offences (student planners describe the offenses). Students with deficiencies or an F in any classes are also considered ineligible for the banquet. ➢ Any student that receives a suspension during the 4th quarter will automatically be ineligible to attend the banquet.
