Hangs in every way
KVARTAL curtain hanging system gives you lots of possibilities for
hanging both panel curtains and regular ones. Hang them in front of
windows and niches, or use them as room dividers, sliding doors or
around a bed. If you hang curtains in layers you can combine colours,
patterns and materials in your own personal way. You can connect
several track rails together to create one long track rail, or shorten them
to the desired length with KVARTAL mitre box and saw. Mount the track
rail to walls or ceilings using KVARTAL wall or ceiling fittings or use
KVARTAL corner pieces to mount track rails around corners.
On the wall
A big advantage with the wall fittings is that you can have several track
rails on a pair of wall fittings. You can mount multiple single track rails or
triple track rails together or combine them according to your needs.
Hit the ceiling
If you don’t have room on your wall to mount wall fittings, or want to
use curtains as a room divider or panel curtains as sliding doors to a
wardrobe – ceiling fittings are the key. Just remember that you can only
mount one single or triple-track rail on a pair of ceiling fittings.

For stability reasons, you need to use additional wall or ceiling fittings for longer track rails. As a general rule: 2 fittings for track rails up to
140 cm; 3 fittings for track rails between 140 cm and 280 cm; 4 fittings for track rails longer than 280 cm, and so on.

COMBINATION IDEAS
Track rail up to 140 cm
1. One KVARTAL triple track rail 140 cm* mounted to the
ceiling.
KVARTAL top/bottom rail is used to attach three panel curtains
to the tracks. This combination can be used to cover a window
or an open storage solution, or as a room divider.

2. One KVARTAL single track rail 140 cm* mounted to the wall.
RIKTIG curtain hooks are attached to the curtains. KVARTAL
glides are inserted in the track. Just hook up your curtains.
With a corner piece on each side you can pull the curtains all
the way to the wall to keep the light completely out.

Using panel curtains as sliding doors is inexpensive, practical
and very decorative. KVARTAL draw rod makes the panels
move smoothly. Remember that for a track rail longer than
140 cm in total, you will need three KVARTAL ceiling fittings to
ensure stability.

MEASURE YOUR WINDOW
Start by taking the measurements of your window.

1. The width. This determines the width of your
curtain rod or track rail.
Measure the width of the window. a
Add at least 10 cm on each side to the
measurement a to ensure the window will be
fully covered.
2. The height. This determines the length of your
curtains or panel curtains.
Measure from the top of the window frame and
stop where you want your curtains or panel
curtains to end. b
As a rule of thumb, add 10 cm to the
measurement b to give space to your curtain rod
or track rail.
Add a few centimetres to allow for the shrinkage
of the curtains.

DIFFERENT WAYS OF HANGING CURTAINS
Using different hanging accessories, you can create different looks for your curtains.
1. Curtains are more gathered. Recommended for thin curtains.

2. Curtains are neatly pleated. Recommended for thick curtains.

3. A casual look with clip-on solution. Recommended for thin
curtains and especially curtains made of metre fabrics.
