Justice Tossed Aside in Gaza

The Zionist regime of Israel has exonerated itself for killing four
children on a beach in Gaza during last summer’s seven-week assault
on the besieged strip, prompting expressions of outrage and demands
for justice from family members and international journalists who witnessed the attack.
The results of Israel’s inquiry were announced just days after UN
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon removed the Israeli military from an
official list of groups that violate children’s rights, following heavy
pressure from the United States and Israel.
It’s all the reason why the United Nations Headquarters Board of
Inquiry should dispatch a team of experts to Gaza to probe the Israeli
military war crimes committed during the offensive. The UN should
also renew its call on Tel Aviv to support the investigation and its findings AND lift the illegal blockade.
The illegal blockade can be described as an intensification of criminal policies designed to isolate the population of Gaza, cripple its fragile economy, and provoke its people against Hamas by harsh and illegal
measures of collective punishment.
However, these desperate actions are not all new: The blockade is but
the terminal end of Israel’s closure policy, in place since 1991, which in
turn builds on the usurper’s policies as occupier since 1967.
According to Western experts and reports, in practice, Israel’s blockade means the denial of a broad range of items - food, industrial, educational, medical - deemed non-essential for a population largely unable to be self-sufficient at the end of decades of occupation.
There can be no dispute that the measures of collective punishment
against the civilian population of Gaza are illegal under international
humanitarian law: Fuel and food cannot be withheld or wielded as
reward or punishment.
But international law was tossed aside a long time ago. Backed by the
United States, the blockade has been presented as punishment for the
democratic election of Hamas; punishment for its subsequent takeover
of Gaza; and punishment for justified resistance through attacks on
illegal settlements.
The apartheid regime has barred foreign journalists from entering
the occupied territory. Executives from news agencies and humanitarian organizations have sent several letters of protest to Tel Aviv criticizing its decision to bar them from entering Gaza, but to no avail.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has criticized Israel over its
blockade of Gaza. But, criticism alone is not enough. The international
community needs to do more than just talk.
Those who fire rockets at illegal Israeli settlements make a valid
point. These random attacks should not evoke a hasty effort to seal off
the occupied territory, but, instead, make the Zionist regime question
how to avoid such attacks in the future.
The answer is simple: Stop raiding Gaza and killing the innocent
civilians, and start honoring international law AND the sanctity of Palestinian lives, particularly the children.

Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi says Iran’s border regions are fully secure.
TEHRAN (Press TV) -- Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi said
Iran will firmly deal with any potential security threat to its borders, emphasizing that Iran’s border regions
are fully secure.
Alavi said all the country’s borders are perfectly safe thanks to the
vigilance of security forces, and
that firm and appropriate action
would be taken against any security
threats.
The Iranian intelligence minister
added that Iran’s forces will immediately respond to any activity endangering the border region.
Alavi said Iran has been monitoring even the slightest moves made

Iranian government uses money received through sanctions relief.
Negotiators are working toward
a June 30 deadline to reach a final
agreement. Officials involved in the
talks have suggested an agreement
isn’t likely by the end of the month.

Syria Opposition Meets With Zionist Envoys
TEHRAN (Press TV) -Representatives of the occupying regime of Israel
and the Syrian opposition
groups met several times in
two years to discuss ways to
counter Iran and the Lebanese resistance movement of
Hezbollah, a report says.
According to a report by the
Israeli website Walla, the two
sides met several times in an
unnamed Western country
between 2012 and 2014.
During the talks, the Tel
Aviv regime was represented
by a senior official, whose
identity was not revealed in
the report.
The Walla report also added that the talks focused on
the common enemies of the
two sides, including Iran and
Hezbollah.
“The important aspect of
these meetings is the existence of dialogue, and the
fact that the dialogue was
given a stamp of approval
in the form of a presence of
a senior Israeli official,” the
Israeli website quoted an informed source as saying.
Another Zionist official
also told the website that the
talks failed to bring about the
desired results because Syrian opposition forces fighting
the government of President
Bashar al-Assad “have no
real power on the ground”.
These were the highest level
talks held between Tel Aviv
and the groups fighting Syria’s legitimate government
since 2011, the report said.

initially, the warmongers are now advocating the division of Iraq. As per

the best the long-suffering Palestinian people could do is unite and prepare to defend their legitimate unity government AND their legitimate

Yemen War
ETEMAAD: The Saudi-led air strikes have failed to force Yemen into
submission. The country is facing a humanitarian disaster. Aid agencies
say the air and sea blockade is preventing the country from importing
food on which it is wholly reliant. Hospitals are closing because they
have no medicine and no fuel for generators. Yemen has joined countries
like Syria, Iraq and Libya that are paralyzed by Saudi-backed terrorism
and violence.
Genocidal Militants
HAMSHARI: After the successful liberation of Tikrit, the Iraqi army
and volunteer Sunni-Shia forces were expected to liberate the rest of the
country. But after two months or so the country is still stuck in the quagmire of political uncertainty and sectarian rivalry, with its various parties
- Shia, Sunni and Kurd - unable to fight under one banner. And this has
only helped ISIL’s genocidal militants to consolidate further grip on the
country.
