Fast, Safe, & Secure Wound
Closure with LiquiBand®
Step 1 - Wound Preparation
Step 4 - Application
Clean and dry the wound thoroughly.
Check for foreign bodies. Ensure hemostasis
has been achieved and the wound edges
appose readily.
Hold the wound edges tight together with
fingers or forceps. Apply LiquiBand® adhesive
along the length of the wound. The wound
edges should be held together for 30 seconds
until LiquiBand® has set and the wound is
secure. Requires only one layer.
Step 2 - Open the Ampoule
Remove the applicator from the package using sterile
technique. Holding the applicator in one hand, with
the applicator tip pointed upward, gently squeeze the
wings attached to the applicator body until the glass
ampoule inside the applicator breaks.
Step 3 - Device Preparation
Upon breaking of the ampoule glue will
automatically flow into the dome applicator tip.
Gently squeeze the wings to release the adhesive
down into the dome tip. The device is now ready
to use.
If using on the eye area, use petroleum jelly
to create a barrier close to the wound, and
use a surgical gauze to protect patients eyes
to minimize risk of gluing the wrong area.
LiquiBand® is indicated for the closure of topical skin incisions
including laparoscopic incisions, and trauma-induced lacerations
in areas of low skin tension that are simple, thoroughly cleansed,
and have easily approximated edges. The adhesive may be used in
conjunction with, but not in place of, deep dermal sutures.

Four Easy Steps
Step 1 - Wound Preparation

Clean and dry the wound thoroughly. Check
for foreign bodies. Ensure hemostasis
has been achieved and the wound edges
appose readily.
Upon breaking of the ampoule, glue will
automatically flow into the applicator tip.
Gently squeeze the wings to release the
adhesive down into the tip. The device is
now ready to use.
Step 2 - Open the Ampoule
Step 4 - Application*
Remove the LiquiBand® Flex™ applicator from
the package using sterile technique. Holding
the applicator in one hand, with the device
pointed upward, gently squeeze the wings
attached to the applicator body until the glass
ampoule inside the applicator breaks.
Hold the wound edges tight together with
fingers or forceps. Apply LiquiBand® Flex™
adhesive along the length of the wound. The
wound edges should be held together for 45-60
seconds until LiquiBand® Flex™ is set and the
wound is secure. Repeat with a second layer.
*If using on the eye area, use petroleum jelly to create a barrier close to the wound, and use a surgical gauze to protect patients
eyes and minimize risk of gluing the wrong area.
