ABOUT THE KHSGL The Kettle Hills Senior Golf League, KHSGL, was founded in 1994 with an initial membership 24 golfers. Current membership is limited to 125. It is open to men 55 years and older. Annual dues are $50 payable before the start of the season. The League season runs from mid-April to mid-September (See Schedule) every Monday morning. Carts are required. Members pay green/cart fees each week as they show up for play. Members form their own foursomes, which will be assigned a team number. The play format is “Shotgun Start” with each team assigned a starting hole. Starting times are shown on the Schedule. A different event is played each week for cash prizes awarded to the top four players in each of five flights. For team events, prizes are awarded to the top four teams. A special scorecard is provided with instructions for all games. Players post their scores on the score sheet provided at the league table in the clubhouse and deposit their scorecards in the receptacle . Handicaps will be computed utilizing a modified USGA formula which uses the best five of the 10 most recent scores, rather the best 10-of-20 , to be more responsive to current play . Handicaps will be updated every four weeks and will be posted on the League bulletin board, the League table, and this website.(See also Handicaps ) Two scramble events are scheduled, one at mid-season and one at end-of-season; Members must register and pay for the scramble at least one week in advance. Payment is non-refundable for no-shows. Teams are constituted so that the sum of the four handicaps is equalized across the field. Your team assignment will be displayed at the registration desk. Winning teams will be announced and awarded prize money at the luncheon Prize money for the other season events will be distributed at the end-of-season luncheon or mailed to members not attending, Persons can join the league by filling out a membership application available at The Kettle Hills pro-shop or by contacting the league treasurer Dom Foti at 262-375-2100 or by e-mail at [email protected]. A non-member can play as a guest or substitute for a member in any event (except scrambles) but will not be eligible for prizes. If a guest plays in a Team event, that team is not eligible for prizes.
