Notice of Election Filing Deadline

The Election Board of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma does hereby announce that the position
of Chairperson and Treasurer of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Business Committee are open
for election. In addition, the Vice-Chairperson of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Grievance
Committee is open for election. The Election Board as required by the Kickapoo Tribe of
Oklahoma Constitution and Bylaws, Article V, Section 3, and in the performance of our duties
pursuant to the Election Ordinance of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma does hereby call for and
will conduct a Tribal Election for the purpose of selecting the Chairperson and Treasurer
positions on the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Business Committee, and Vice-Chairperson
position on the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Grievance Committee at the June Annual
Elections. The Filing Fee for the Business Committee Chairperson and Treasurer of the
Business Committee is $500.00 U.S. Dollars. The Filing Fee for the Vice-Chairperson of the
Grievance Committee is $15.00 U.S. Dollars. Payments may be made by Cash, Certified
Check, Cashiers Check or Money Order payable to the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma and shall
accompany each application. The Election Board is now providing application packets to any
Tribal Member who may be interested in any of the open elected positions. Interested
candidates must be willing to submit to a background check. The deadline for filing or
returning the application packets will be by the close of business, 5:00pm, May 14, 2015. Any
questions may be directed to any of the Election Board Officials.
