Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
As many of you are aware this school year all high school graduations will take place in the Expo Hall at
the Florida State Fairgrounds. Therefore, there will be four high school graduations per day over a seven
day period. The times of the graduation will be 9:30 am, 1:00 pm, 4:30 pm, and 8:00 pm. King High
School is scheduled to graduate on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
Other than the senior class, all students will have school on May 29, 2015. The last day for students this
school year is Friday, June 5, 2015. The District is well aware that many of the students wish to attend
their school’s graduation ceremony. In order to accommodate the high volume of students who will be
attending graduation, Friday, May 29, 2015 we will have a teacher facilitated tutoring session day.
School will be in session. Students wishing to attend graduation may do so with no academic or
attendance penalty. Those students who do come to school on Friday, May 29th will attend teacher
facilitated tutoring sessions. Our school day on May 29th is 7:40 am – 11:00 am. Transportation will be
provided.
As stated, if your child wishes to attend King High School’s graduation ceremony on Friday, May 29,
2015, and not attend the teacher facilitated tutoring session day, they may do so with no academic or
attendance penalty. On the reverse side of this letter is a copy of the Exam Bell Schedule for King High
School’s last week of school.
As always, if you have any questions regarding this information, please feel free to contact us at (813)
744-8333.
Sincerely,
Michael Rowan
