Information note about the INTEGRO project The INTEGRO Project (http://www.integro-project.org/) aimed at advancing, through an interactive way, cooperation between all relevant stakeholders, including migrants themselves, for the promotion of the effective integration of migrants. The project is based on the principles of the respect for human rights and cultural diversity, the promotion of equality and combating discrimination, through the exchange of expertise, knowledge, information and best practices. The project, funded by the European Commission, is implemented by NICEM (http://nicem.org.uk/) in Northern Ireland, KISA (http://kisa.org.cy/) in Cyprus, Radio Afrika TV (http://www.radioafrika.net/) in Austria, SIMI (http://www.migrace.com/en/) in the Czech Republic and CFE (http://citizensforeurope.org/) in Germany. The project involves three phases: A. During Phase One, each partner mapped integration and collected data regarding the realities and needs in their country. In addition, stakeholders discussed and exchanged expertise, knowledge, information and good practices. B. During Phase Two, each partner designed and developed a pilot integration project, according to the situation in their countries and the exchanges and consultations in Phase One and on the basis of a combination of the 11 Common Basic Principles of the E.U. for migrant integration and the integration principles of the ENAR toolkit (http://www.enar-eu.org/). C. During Phase Three, which is currently in its final stage, each partner focused on the one hand on the implementation of their pilot project and on the other on the evaluation of both the pilot projects, locally, and the whole project of INTEGRO, at European level.
